I stand with the people of #Israel in condemning the horrific terrorist attacks by #Hamas.
There is no justification for violence against innocent civilians. The world must come together to hold Hamas accountable &to ensure that the people of Israel can live in peace &security.
Ethiopian federal troops and Tigrayan forces still engaged in active hostilities across multiple localities in the Humera Triangle - a strategic tri-border enclave close to River Tekeze.
Heaviest fighting reported in Shererina, Western Tigray, close to the border with Sudan.
Clashes also reported in Baeker and Mai Kadra, two nearby agricultural districts straddling a trade corridor linking Ethiopia to both Sudan and Eritrea.
The scale of the fighting is hard to independently verify but likely serious.
Tigrayan media reporting mechanised Ethiopian ground troops supported by air assets, including drones, involved in the fighting.
Tadesse Werede undercut @reda_getachew & helped render Tigray ungovernable. He rose on the back of a quiet coup—but fatally misread his place: he was never TPLF’s inner parochial circle, only a conduit. Now same machinery has turned on him. For TPLF, proxies are expendable—and he’s learning that the hard way.
@LadyVelvet_HFQ How Kind¡ And How about kids in East Africa, Yemen and greater MENA whom he wholeheartedly sponsored and demonstrated Havoc, killing and chaos to their innocent being?
kindness of MBZ
It is easy for the fascists who enabled the genocide in Tigray to mock @reda_getachew today. You mocked him during the war too. For me, he is sacrificing himself to create a viable pragmatic roadmap for his people.
@mehdirhasan didn’t do anything when the genocide was happening.
@JekapOmod@wode_maya You wrote a book too?😂😂😂
Damn I didnt know you could write, I only considered you as Ethiopian regime troll for past years.
What did you say your book talks about?🙄
That is not dust on her face, it’s war.
That’s not a shadow, it’s death.
And still, a mother in Al-Fashir, Sudan, refuses to let go of her child. 💔 @antonioguterres@_AfricanUnion@realDonaldTrump
The tyranny of the algorithm: How the #TPLF politico-military code continues to fail the people of #Tigray.
Definition: The TPLF politico-military code embodies the mindset, methods, and ideology of the TPLF, from its leadership at Hawelti to its past and present factions operating under various names both within Tigray and beyond.
There is a tyranny that doesn’t always come with guns or prisons, it comes coded in the logic of power. The TPLF politico-military algorithm, the way they think, decide, and operate, has long been flawed, and its consequences have been devastating for the people of Tigray.
This algorithm prioritizes control over compassion, party over people, and survival over service. It reproduces itself through loyalty networks, secrecy, and the politics of fear, ensuring that even when the faces change, the logic remains the same. In this system, the suffering of ordinary Tigrayans becomes collateral damage, a background variable in the equation of power.
But the tragedy doesn’t stop there. External forces, from #AddisAbaba to #Asmara and beyond, have learned how to exploit this #TPLF algorithm for their own ends. They understand its predictability: its obsession with internal dominance, its inability to self-correct, and its dependence on externalizing problems. They feed it triggers that work, manipulate its reactions, and weaponize its problems, all to the further demise of the Tigrayan people.
In the end, the victims of this algorithm are not its coders but its subjects, the millions displaced, silenced, or left to rot in camps.
Until this code of political tyranny is rewritten, replaced by one built on transparency, accountability, and people-first governance, Tigray will remain trapped in a loop of suffering programmed by its own politico-military leaders and the opportunistic enemies.
That’s the takeaway from the appearance of #Ethiopia’s genocidal leader in Parliament today, he understands their algorithm all too well. Sad!
