@JlB77007@Kasparov63 I am not sure who you are arguing with - but it's definitely not me. I was born in the USSR too - and have not one good word to say about it. And I'm not saying 'it wasn't REAL socialism' - it was simply not socialism at all.
@JlB77007@Kasparov63 We are talking about different things. You keep dragging old corpses into the room and convincing me that they stink - which I am not disputing in the first place. What I'm saying is that 'capitalism is the best, all good, moving on' is a very naive and irresponsible attitude.
@citadelo5ricks @Kasparov63 I would respectfully suggest you look up 'capitalism' in a dictionary. Division of labour and natural exchange are not at all what makes it. And guess what - the guys you are talking about actually ironically happened to leave in a._collective_, which benefited from their skills.
@JlB77007@Kasparov63 Those are (or were, in the case of E Germany) Stalinism-moulded, oppressive authoritarian dictatorships. Rather beside the point.
We already thought once that we'd reached 'the end of history'. Yet no one in their right mind can look at the world today and think it's working fine
@Kasparov63 Importantly, realising it and trying to act upon it does not mean 'back to USSR'. There is no place for reconstructive nostalgia (and yes, there was hardly anything in that system worth being nostalgic about) - but a new frontier must be found if we are to survive and succeed.
@Kasparov63 I do appreciate that the trauma runs deep, but it's still sad to see a man of your calibre and intelligence trying to defend the indefensible. Capitalism has played an important part in human history, but it's dying and trying to take us all with it.
Hey @StravaSupport - is there a way to actually contact you? The 'Create new request' page appears to be broken - either not generating a form at all upon selecting a category, or generating one with titles indicating fields as mandatory but with no actual input fields?
This is not a peace plan. It is a proposal that weakens Ukraine and divides America from Europe, preparing the way for a larger war in the future. In the meantime, it benefits unnamed Russian and American investors, at the expense of everyone else.

Still love the idea of it, but this is quite upsetting. What good is a service if users can’t rely on it?
Oh, and genuine thanks to @Uber for saving my day! 10 quid more than what the bus would have cost - but I made the train!!!
Thanks for an exciting start to my @BrightonMarathn day, @TfL ! The #SL5 that was supposed to come around 6:53 was running 4 min late, then 6 min late, then 10 min late, and then… was no longer. Vanished. Next one in 22 min. 😳
