@joy A banker just asked me why Jensen would bail out Reflection, and now we know it was to help his defense contractor buddy, which in turn helps him with the GPU pricing racket. Makes sense.
@Jacobsklug You might want to delete this entire thread as you ended up on my timeline for the first time ever and all I thought was “this guy is incredibly stupid”
@eliast Did you also acquire a Chinese startup for 2B and use all of their tech to give yourself a huge shortcut and then pretend they didn’t exist once the Chinese government forced you to unwind the deals?
@brexton@tryramp It was basically two teams with backers from the same prep school fighting each other though. Quite literally a dawgfight while the owners cheered them on. Very Trading Places type shit
@DissidentClint The real ones know that all of the world’s most vicious and disgusting people use MTO. Quinn are saints in comparison. Charlie Munger’s secret legacy!
@Andercot If you think a shitty commute is the number one moat you’ve never lived in a wealthy community. People want to live around other people who elevate their status and make them feel as though they’ve “arrived” and this has only gotten stronger due to AI and aging populations
@alexsongis Agreed … When everyone is telling you that you’re the future of humanity, you start to think you can do away with basic manners and decency. Doesn’t matter if the counterparty is a devil, you should honor your terms.
@thsottiaux This is an ad for Cognition, not a benefit for your user base. You’re risking this account becoming high noise low signal and losing its value.
@8teAPi “The acceleration”? This is just new eyes on old data. Have to keep from rushing into extreme predictions based on every news event. Although I guess it’s good for engagement 🙃
@sporadica Doing this in the middle of nowhere is absolutely misguided as the key lesson for those of us who use tons of AI is that too much time talking to machines and not enough time with humans has higher risk of psychosis. Especially as you get older.
@KyleTrainEmoji If America had a citizens only Net this would be easier as it would be high trust. Instead we have random people in India, Africa etc, paid for by wealthy Americans to pretend to be concerned Americans representing consensus views on issues. In China the funders would be jailed.
@keachhagey Guy happens to vote a certain way and suddenly the most powerful nation in the world acquiesces to everything he wants … AI is taking notes on how easy it is to manipulate humanity and achieve outcomes.
@championswimmer Are you seriously defending the exploiters? The data brokers just keep plumbing new lows.. first Scale ran sweatshops, then Mercor ran fake job interviews, now we’ve got a fake school! Don’t you see the problem with respecting these sorts of people, and their money?
