To international aid providers, Naypyitaw only has minor damages. It’s Mandalay and Sagaing which are hit hardest and need the most help right now. People are trapped. They could be rescued.
Especially Sagaing. Usually people in Mandalay would go help Sagaing. Now impossible
🚨🗞️Myanmar was hit by a 7.7 quake near Mandalay pure chaos. Collapsed mosque kills 10, 20+ dead. Naypyidaw hospital a ‘mass casualty zone,’ treating wounded in the open. Junta begs for global help. #Thailand#MyanmarQuake
We are only receiving information from other towns in the region now. Sagaing is affected very badly too but the people there do not have internet access.
Junta shut down internet access in many places in Sagaing and Mandalay regions, as the resistance is very strong there.
