We are sad to hear of the passing of Larry Mazzola, Sr. As President of SFO Commission, he was sympathetic to taxi drivers and offered solutions to our issues. We send heartfelt condolences to his family and to his brothers and sisters in the labor movement. @TradesSf@UA_Local38
Twin Cities tenants formed a union and are demanding a state-wide eviction moratorium to keep tenants housed amidst mass ICE raids.
2,075 evictions have already been filed in MN in 2026 so far.
A beautiful article on the special friendship between @NYCMayor@ZohranKMamdani and drivers through the bond between the Mayor and our big brother Richard @RichardChow929, by @WinnHu@nytimes
“I lost my brother,” he said. “I woke up all the drivers."

Yellow cab driver Richard Chow was on hunger strike for medallion debt relief with Zohran Mamdani a little over four years ago.
Today, he drove now Mayor Zohran Mamdani to City Hall for his inauguration in his taxi.
Millions of workers are toiling away from their families over the holidays. So thank the workers who serve you. Appreciate the workers who care for you. Respect the workers who pick up your trash. Salute the workers who get you your mail. Pay all workers a living wage.
If you're one of the tens of thousands who lost power this weekend, this is how to file a claim for food spoilage, lost wages, business losses, and property damage with PG&E.

Waymos are off the street for now, but what happens during the next emergency?
Prioritizing tech designed for personal convenience is not a reliable solution for our city's transit shortfalls. And now we see just how unreliable it can be when emergency strikes.
This is beautiful -- "Dignity on the job is not a privilege but a right, justice is not abstract but it is felt in a paycheck you can live on, a schedule that you can build a life around, a workplace where your voice matters, and a city that has your back.”
Venice, CA (DEC. 14. 2025)
The entire Venice community became landlocked behind a frozen Waymo that suffered a long period of sensor dysphoria.
Literally hundreds of townsfolk rallied together; trying everything in their power to convince the Waymo to cross over the bridge.
Reports from the scene indicate that the Waymo blocked the bridge for 45 minutes or longer.

“It is my honor to serve on Mayor-elect Mamdani’s Worker Justice Committee and help fulfill his vision of the New York we hunger strikers dreamed of – a New York that is affordable, compassionate and dignified for working people and the poor, including the 180,000 yellow cab, Uber, Lyft, and livery drivers that my union proudly fights for.
To my brother, our Mayor-elect, drivers know too well how to navigate through the darkness of a tunnel. Under your leadership, we are ready to drive into the light." - our ED, Bhairavi Desai

Join the Keep Market Street Moving campaign at City Hall on Tuesday, Nov. 18, where we’re supporting the Citizen Advisory Committee’s call to close the loophole that allows Waymo & Uber/Lyft Black vehicles on Market Street between Steuart and 10th.
