@snaxeyyt@On3 I think NCAA wide union would be too hard to align interests and likely bankrupt non-revenue sports. Probably only feasible way is players union for revenue generating sports which only includes men’s football and bball.
@snaxeyyt@On3 Congress will never pass anything. This will have to be done by establishing a new league outside of the NCAA with a Commissioner and yes a CBA.
@snaxeyyt@On3 But they aren’t enforceable so they have no authority. Can’t fix the judges so need a body that actually has authority over their league.
@GeorgeStoia The NCAA has not power or authority anymore. We can stop pretending they have the ability to do anything. College Football and College Basketball have to form new leagues. Congress isn’t going to do anything.
This tagline is “Fake News”! Pure propaganda personified to frame the housing issue as corporations versus homeowners. The sad thing is Americans believe it because it’s what they are being told. Local regulations, red tape and Dodd Frank is really what is making housing unaffordable.
@WhiteHouse@SenatorTimScott Apparently homes are not for renters and the only way to solve it is mass evicting a bunch of people with a progressive housing bill. Try again with a better housing bill.
@JDVance This bill is anti-housing supply and over 100 bi-partisan members of Congress and over 100 industry groups agree. It doesn’t help protect the American dream. It was crammed through the Senate without Senators being able to hear from the industry and amendments were blocked.
Woah! Big scoop. If true, I would assume this kills the ROAD to [Less] Housing Act in current form -- giving the House coverage to scuttle the Senate's language that would effectively kill build-to-rent housing construction.
Notably: The White House previously supported ROAD.
I would like to know who in the industry they actually spoke with? This is such a gross misunderstanding of how the BTR industry actually works, and not understanding who the capital and developers are. For the most part, we are not single family for sale housing developers. It would be like asking soy bean farmers to all of a sudden become ranchers.
Running for governor is a full family effort. Brittney and our kids are my rock, and I couldn’t do it without them. As governor, I’ll fight for every Oklahoma family just like I do my own.
