@Jacksaysgo tbh i just genuinely disagree with that read. I think it doesn't give credit where its due or appropriately assesses the breadth of his work.
This is a super limiting way of viewing importance. It's like suggesting Hitchcock or Ford aren't important or worth the reverence because they made a lot of genre pictures. If you think arthouse is the only important kind of filmmaking, thats kind of reductive tbh!
