@conorsen Case for yes: hyperscalers continue buildout despite FCF impact. Memory remains high margin
Case for no: hyperscalers slow down buildout. Demand for memory declines.
My guess is no
There are 3 primary ways to raise labor productivity. The obvious one is investing in your people. This was a huge driver of labor productivity growth in the mid 1900s. But, capital augmenting or labor substituting have much bigger payoffs for asset owners.
For the engineering leaders in my network - are you measuring the impact of deploying tools like Claude Code on your teams? If so, what are you tracking?
@Cobylefko Love that neighborhood! In your Substack you mention that Kingston got serious and overhauled their land use regs. How do folks learn about those types of changes? Do cities advertise it or do you have to be a developer deeply engaged in that local market to know?
Let’s talk about one of the absolute dumbest things in tech, and I’m reminded of this bc of the NFL draft coming up and how every year nfl teams do the same dumb thing people do in tech: over analyze things that don’t matter
@GergelyOrosz Oh yea this was a big problem for us, not just with interns but with more junior engineers. We ended up trying to cultivate some form of hybrid in-person. 24 year old me would never go fully-remote. 35 year old me winces at going fully in-person 😬
Excited to open up 🐮 WebMoo for use @ https://t.co/6Kx0jIlP3T ! It's an easy way to turn Notion Pages into effective landing pages without any code. #buildinpublic
@POTUS I was once attacked on the subway by a man with a scythe yelling "f*$k!ng Muslim" (I'm not Muslim). I don't know what this initiative will actually achieve, but I applaud you for trying something.
A former coworker of mine just launched a really thoughtfully built journaling app on PH. It allows you to chat with your former self and see topics you've written about over time. If you journal or have considered it, watch the product video! It's awesome https://t.co/GDGli000NU
@mipsytipsy A few tangible super powers you pick up:
- ability to map individual team member goals to work opportunities
- ability to facilitate decision making rather than purely stating a pov
- understanding the critical importance of quality feedback about a team’s health to an EM
I'm starting a #buildinpublic journey while in between jobs. Working on a Notion Page -> Web Page builder. Here's an example of what you can do: https://t.co/bqOIu1bE5f.
