I think @MetaDAOProject is onto something with this allocation mechanism.
The more USD worth of ownership coins you hold over time, the more points you earn (there's a ongoing decay).
And this score gives you access to a higher allocation. This mechanism is currently in experimentation for the @ripcarsio raise (already filled btw).
But here's the twist: holding $1 of META gives FEWER points than holding $1 of other ownership coins.
That's a direct incentive for exploring the eco and holding more ownership assets. And since demand for MetaDAO ICOs is likely to go up...

@blknoiz06 It's good if done properly. Most just do a quick dip and it becomes toast with egg on top. The tasty version is when the toast is completely soaked and the insides turn out like flan.
@Irenezhao_ No, holding SOL when it fell from $250 to $8 and recovering back to ATH is loyalty. Holding ETH when the roadmap goes nowhere is just plain dumb. Most ETH whales want to exit, but they can't because selling any large positions would tank it.
The market has spoken. With the passage of Meta-038, MetaDAO is now employing Groom Lake for institutional-grade security, intelligence - including due diligence on prospective founders and teams - and 24/7 incident response.
metadao's path to scaling futarchy is so thielian. if you're going to change something as fundamental as "decision making", start small and boring. ideally in a field no one cares about. like idk crypto governance
once the initial model works, scale it up. find a way to make money so the experiment can fund itself. people will latch onto the business and ignore or even criticize the deeper ambition. that's okay. secrets are good
MetaDAO launched with a $10k market cap token.
It was unconventional at the time but it served us:
- @metanallok, who became my co-founder, was an early holder
- Much of this early cohort became beta testers / users / marketers
- We've now hired several employees who started as holders
Many founders overindex on the traditional path so that they can impress their peers when all that matters in the early days is getting a small group of people to care about you deeply
It's stressful and painful to have a token, but if you really want to win and can be a bit stoic, you should consider entering the arena -
@bryan_johnson You list all of those things as if it is a fact that each is a negative. Alcohol is not something that was just invented and became a trend. Centuries of evidence suggests it will be fine if ppl drink a little
@Austin_Federa@SalazarSenate Yes, it is possible to keep changing businesses to ones that are more profitable. However, the result will be a lack of diversification and we just end up with fast food chains everywhere. The value of having truly "local" small businesses is undervalued
