BREAKING: U.N. list shows Iran Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi to address U.N. Human Rights Council with Antonio Guterres on Feb. 23.
@antonioguterres, if you don't disinvite this mass murderer, we will be calling on Swiss police to have him arrested for crimes against humanity.
This video is just one example of thousands and thousands. When you choose to believe the Islamic Republic propaganda, you choose to side with the oppression.

A video received by Hengaw shows plainclothes forces assaulting a woman in one of the southern neighborhoods of Tehran.
The footage shows the woman being chased before she falls to the ground. She is then pushed, kicked in the head and body, dragged by her hair, and struck on the head with a wooden baton and the handle of a machete.
A timestamp visible on the CCTV footage indicates that the incident occurred on January 8, 2026.
The number of people reported killed in Iran’s protest crackdown has surged, with the United Nations warning the total could be more than 20,000 https://t.co/5fQTt2Ngkx
Zelensky slams Europe for its inaction in Iran:
"As for Iran, everyone is waiting to see what America will do. And the world offers nothing, Europe offers nothing, and does not want to enter this issue as a supporter of the Iranian people and the democracy they need."
Dear Iranians,
I have some good news and bad news.
The good news is that the Iran resolution overwhelmingly passed the vote in the European Parliament with 562 votes for, only 9 against and 57 abstaining.
It expresses its full support for the Iranian opposition and also encourages the European Council to add the IRGC to the EU terrorist list and put sanctions on key regime officials.
The bad news is that the amendment that would have called for Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi to address the European Parliament was rejected with 132 votes for, 382 against and 96 abstaining.
What is even worse, The Left Group in the European Parliament presented amendments to the resolution that would for example have
- called for the EU to “exert diplomatic pressure on the United States and Israel to refrain from issuing or supporting military threats against Iran” and instead “give a commitment to de-escalation, dialogue and full respect for international law”,
- called for the lifting of sanctions on Iran, and
- condemned “any external attempt at destabilisation or interference in Iran’s internal affairs”.
Luckily, these amendments were each soundly rejected.
It is unfortunate that all of the things we hoped for did not materialize today.
But this is only the beginning. The fight for justice in Iran is far from over.
And I will make sure that this is not the last time that the voice of Iranians will be heard in the halls of the EU.

Iranian authorities must immediately halt any plans to execute 19-year-old Amirhossein Ghaderzadeh who has been detained since 9 Jan for taking part in protests in Rasht, Gilan province, and stop weaponizing the death penalty against protesters.
According to @amnesty’s information, agents stormed Amirhossein Ghaderzadeh’s family home on 9 January and subjected him and his 2 sisters, one of whom is a 14-year-old child, to sexual violence in violation of the absolute prohibition on torture and other ill-treatment.
The agents forcibly stripped Amirhossein Ghaderzadeh and his sisters naked in front of everyone present to inspect their bodies for metal pellets to “prove” their participation in the protests. They arrested him after finding the metal pellet wounds he sustained during protests on 8 Jan.
According to an informed source, the authorities told him during a court session on 17 Jan that he is accused of “betraying his country” and sentenced to “death by hanging”. The authorities have informed his family that his execution is scheduled for 21 Jan.
The authorities must immediately reveal Amirhossein Ghaderzadeh’s fate and whereabouts, after subjecting him to enforced disappearance since his arrest on 9 Jan. They must protect him from further torture and other ill-treatment & grant him access to adequate medical care.
UN member states must urgently press Iranian authorities to halt all executions and end the deadly crackdown against protesters, the scale of which remains hidden amid the internet shutdown. The Iranian authorities must restore internet access to the people of Iran NOW.
The Iranian Foreign Minister will not be attending Davos.
Although he was invited last fall, the tragic loss of lives of civilians in Iran over the past few weeks means that it is not right for the Iranian government to be represented at Davos this year.
Our representative @RahaBahreini summarises the findings of our latest investigation into the unprecedented nationwide crackdown on protests in Iran this week. At the time of filming, the #DigitalBlackOutIran was in its seventh day, the internet blackout has yet to be lifted.
Join Amnesty in our call urging the international community to take urgent action to stop the protest bloodshed in Iran ✊
Iran is not a talking point.
It is not a “counter-narrative.”
It is not a chess piece in your anti-Western worldview.
A part of the left has decided that as long as a group or a regime is anti-West, its crimes and atrocities don’t count.
That logic has led them to excuse Hamas and whitewash the Islamic Republic of Iran.
You cannot claim to stand for liberation while defending organizations that murder civilians, suppress women, torture dissidents, and rule through fear.
That isn’t solidarity, it’s moral collapse.
If your compassion switches off when the victims don’t fit your narrative, then you’re not defending justice.
You’re defending power, just like the right wing that you’re so much against but with different slogans.
Iran is not your narrative.
Iran is a nation of people who deserve freedom, dignity, justice, and truth.

@Partisan_12 So the two sides of the story to you comes from Israeli-backed sources and the Islamic Republic sources. And then you decide which is true based on which one you hate more. 🙌
@cenkuygur Or maybe, tell me you hope for the collapse. Tell me you’ll love the idea of “foreign” occupation so that perhaps you can amplify the voice of the Iranian resistance. That would at least make sense to me.
@cenkuygur You know the Islamic regime will not stop killing no matter how many they kill. And you know this means IR will keep selling oil to help “anyone” except the people until the country collapses (which is the best result for the regime at this point)
If not now, then when?
It's time for Europe to act decisively.
It’s time for stronger sanctions against those sustaining the Iranian regime through violence, killings and repression.
It’s time for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps to finally be designated as a terrorist organisation.
It's time for freedom in Iran.
It cannot be business as usual.
As the brave people of Iran continue to stand up for their rights and their liberty, today I have taken the decision to ban all diplomatic staff and any other representatives of the Islamic Republic of Iran from all European Parliament premises.
This House will not aid in legitimising this regime that has sustained itself through torture, repression and murder.
Estimated number: 5000 deaths.
This is not a foreign invasion, not a fight against an armed force. It is a government that opens fire on unarmed people.
With the #DigitalBlackoutIran, the number can be much higher.

Footage published by Iran International which appears to show multiple bodies laying on the ground outside Alghadir Hospital in Eastern Tehran, following massive anti-government protests in the capital overnight on Thursday.
Total internet shutdown and mass killing.
And the "killers" are benefiting from all the anti-imperialism/anti-israel/anti-islamophobia rhetoric as much as the silence of the people who don't want to be labeled pro-imperialism/...
