Eritrea hasn't developed. Although Eritrea has faced obstacles no other nation has faced, our gov has also failed to implement simple policies to spur economic development. But, that doesn't mean we work w/ Ethiopians to destroy our country. We push our gov to do better.
Dubai is a blueprint for what can happen when a government commits to building a financial system that truly works for its people.
What Dubai got right:
• Built a stable and predictable banking system
• Made it easy to move money in and out of the country
• Created meaningful incentives to keep capital within the economy
• Earned trust through consistent, transparent, and investor-friendly policies
• Became a global financial hub because people and businesses wanted to be part of its success
Eritreans are ready to unlock their full potential. The time to build a trusted, inclusive, and forward-looking financial system is now. #Eritrea
#Eritrea Launches Landmark Digital Customs System, Modernizing Trade
In a landmark move toward accelerating economic modernization and trade facilitation, the State of Eritrea has inaugurated a new, sophisticated digital customs management system. This strategic initiative, developed with support from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and international partners, successfully replaced a legacy software system operational since 2007 with a fully modern and adaptable digital platform.

ETHIOPIAN LEBENSRAUM
Ethiopia’s ruling Prosperity Party has officially used the logic of Lebensraum to justify threatening to invade Eritrea.
This mirrors Adolf Hitler’s claim that Germany needed Lebensraum, living space, to grow. The pattern includes demonizing ethnic groups within Ethiopia, a demagogue with delusions of grandeur, a collapsing economy, and a need to divert internal issues outward.
It also involves claiming an ancient empire, like Axum, as exclusively belonging to the ruling party, similar to Germany’s misrepresentation of the Holy Roman Empire for its Third Reich.
Nazi Germany collapsed after pursuing Lebensraum, requiring decades and superpower support to recover. PP led Ethiopia lacks such support, its führer is a clown, and its economic and political resilience is doubtful, leaving Ethiopians to bear the costs of collapse.
Let the kid from 4kilo do what he does best; rhetoric without action, but rest assured #Eritrea will bring #Egypt 100 kilometers from his nose. A regional destabilizing #Ethiopia will be checkmated for the next 100 years. Let’s just play the chessboard… 😄😄
We know he is mortified to see Egypt close to his borders, and that is what Eritrea will do 😬😬 @PMEthiopia@MFAEthiopia@MfaEgypt
In a letter to the UN Secretary-General, Abiy complained, for the second time, that the Eritrean government and Tigrayan forces have formed a war alliance and are preparing to topple him.
Suppose this allegation is true, one has to ask what have Abiy and his regime been doing on their part in the past two years? Have they not been boasting day in and day out, in cadre meetings and through their media, about their intention to crush the TPLF in Mekelle, overthrow Isaias in Asmara, and seize control of the Assab Port?
In other words, the war drums have been much louder on Abiy’s side.
But we must collectively say #NoMoreWar
Appreciated meeting @Ministersaleh of Eritrea for the first high-level meeting in several years. There is a clear desire on both sides to re-establish a productive bilateral relationship.
As we remember the heinous terrorist attack of 11 September 2001, the people of #Eritrea stands firm with the people of #USA. Looking forward, may #Eritrea#USA grow stronger in their brotherly relationship!
Considering the unpredictable nature of world politics & frequent terrorist acts throughout the world, it is imperative that, the US can and shall contribute to regional stability & economic prosperity. In that regard, the US has an ally in Eritrea!!

Great progress — long awaited. Bad news for the troublemakers—ሸቀልቲ. 👇
“The two countries are reportedly preparing to sign agreements on economic development, regional security, and political cooperation. In a similar vein, a French oil exploration company has arrived in Eritrea to conduct preliminary research, reflecting growing international interest in the country’s natural resources.”
Beautiful Eritrean on a college graduation ceremony.
Mai-Nefhi College of Science and Mai-Nefhi College of Engineering and Technology in Eritrea have recently held their 18th and 16th graduation ceremonies respectively. The College of Science graduated 291 students, with 51% being female, and the College of Engineering and Technology graduated 383 students, with 44% being female.
Things I Want to Hear from President Isaias Afwerki:
* A clear announcement on the full commencement of private investments.
* Plans for widespread housing construction.
* Confirmation of the national service duration returning to 18 months.
* Details on the safe return of Eritrean immigrants, especially those suffering in Ethiopia.
* When President Isaias first recognized Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed's dishonesty.
Things I Do Not Want to Hear from President Isaias Afwerki:
* Discussions about how the TPLF governed Ethiopia.
* Arguments on why federalism is detrimental to Ethiopia.
* Statements implying Eritrea should not remain silent while Ethiopia collapses.
* Proposals for Eritrea to assist Somalia, Sudan, or other nations.
Kudos. #Eritrea needs hundreds more initiatives like this — whether privately run or state-owned but operated as private enterprises. The country urgently needs market reforms to attract investment from Eritreans with capital across Africa. But unless I’m missing something, I don’t see those reforms happening yet.
#Eritrean_Embassy in #Libya took initiative & paid a visit to East Tripoli Immigration Detention Center to register & issue travel documents to detained #Eritrean migrants in preparation of their repatriation. Commendable step 👏
@shabait
I led a seminar at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and engaged in a fruitful discussion with Minister Osman Salih.
That wraps up this trip!
