Ash Regan Gets Things Done!

We are pleased to learn that SNP HQ has released the membership numbers, following Ash Regan’s call for greater party transparency. This victory for transparency demonstrates once again that Ash Regan is the candidate who gets things done.

However, it is important to note that there has been a significant reduction in membership numbers since October 2022, following the Gender Recognition Reform (GRR) fiasco. This was due to the previous administration’s resistance to listening to reason on the protection of women and girls. Such a significant drop in membership numbers must have been what quickened the out-going First Minister’s resignation.

Ash Regan is the only candidate in this leadership contest who has demonstrated integrity on the GRR debacle, having resigned from government in protest at the resistance to introduce safeguards around the GRR Bill. She understands that listening to the concerns of members is crucial for the success of the SNP.

Ash Regan’s SNP Action Plan called for party transparency, and we are delighted that these measures are already being respected by the SNP NEC. Ash Regan challenges all other political parties operating in Scotland to release their member numbers voluntarily, as the SNP will be doing on a quarterly basis from now on, should Ash Regan become Leader.

We call on all SNP members to support Ash Regan in this leadership contest. She is the candidate who can restore integrity to the SNP and unite the party around a vision for a better Scotland. Her plan for a better Scotland includes investing in renewable energy, creating high-paying jobs, and implementing effective welfare policies under devolution, whilst preparing the country for independence and enabling the people to decide when they want Independence at any election going forward through the Voter Empowerment Mechanism (VEM).

With Ash Regan as SNP leader, the party can achieve great things. She is the candidate who gets things done and brings integrity to the SNP.
