Honestly I think the “everyone gotta suffer because they’re bad people” angle needs to stop. Like why are you virtue signalling in your games about the Yakuza?
You can tell he has such an appreciation and eye for the arts with how a casual photograph becomes a key visual that’ll probably get more iconic as the years go by
Your hobbies can be personal and private or public and performative (which isn’t inherently bad thing) but I don’t think it can necessarily be both without compromising on one of those aspects
To add to my other post about social media and the performative side (yt vids/achievements) ruining enjoyment of videogames. I was thinking about how it became popular for people to record concerts to rather than being in the moment, and I think it’s kinda the same thing actually
I do wonder with all the gaming discourse on here if games would be more enjoyable if we just disconnected from all social aspects of gaming. No Twitter user opinions. No hunting platinums. No IGN reviews.
Just buying a game then playing it is kinda gone, and that’s sad.
