@davestakes@simonbown@floboflo Great Britain (England, Wales and Scotland) is what they call the largest Island that makes up the British Isles (and the British Isles includes all of Ireland)
@LiveFreeOr_ @scrowder To defend against Russian aggression yes, but also to extend American power and influence. Which worked…the reason the USA is so powerful and influential now is because of the decisions your predecessors made. So close the bases and start down the road to being less influential
@AmericanMama@pajosephson Arresting someone (which doesn’t mean they are guilty) is very different to murdering someone. You invoke the Nazis to compare to the UK police, which just demonstrates how little you know of history
@SLENGLISHMAN@MPSRoyal_Parks They were responsible for the Royal parks, of which there is 8. Not every park in London or the country . So I think it’s you being ignorant
@west20167@MPSRoyal_Parks It was, that’s the alternative name the division was given within the MPS. just like there is no such thing as South Ruislip police( See @MPSSouthRuislip) or Hampstead Town Police (see @MPSHampsteadTn) yet that’s the alternative name of the local teams.
@west20167@MPSRoyal_Parks The Royal Parks police, a division of the Met police, which is being disbanded. It’s just the local name of that team, similar to lots of neighbourhood teams. It’s Different to The Royal Parks Constabulary, which was dissolved in 2004
@PC_Angry But they forgot to mention that mounted branch and dog section will be reduced and royal parks police completely disbanded. So crime in the west end may decrease slightly, but robberies in Hyde Park will likely increase
@master__muppets@PeterW4tw@MartinSLewis Basically if you went somewhere like Nationwide and open a new current account and select the button to switch from your old account. (Which they will then close down for you) Nationwide will give you £175. The other condition is two active direct debits, hence the comment.
@aramando@MGIFOTB@fumigatelibs@MPSRoyal_Parks I suspect many of these are due to cars turning into or coming out of the car park whilst a cyclist comes down the hill. Judging by the location.
@aramando@MGIFOTB@fumigatelibs@MPSRoyal_Parks Do you have the source (website) for the map? Would be interested to see over what time scale these are. If it was over 1 year or say 10 would make a difference
