This is free advice from an expensive psychologist. If you’re an anxious person, do everything for fun. Go to a job interview for fun. Submit documents for fun. Start a blog for fun. Anxiety feeds on importance. Don’t make everything a matter of life and death.
#Hantavirus cluster linked to cruise ship travel:
Since 1 April when the boat set sail, of the 147 passengers and crew, 7 people have become ill, among whom 3 have died, 1 is critically ill and 3 are reporting mild symptoms.
Based on the current information, including how hantavirus spreads, WHO assesses the risk to the global population from this event as low.
We are working closely with health authorities from the countries involved and the ship's operators to ensure passengers and crew get the information and support they need.
WHO will continue to monitor the situation and update the risk assessment as more information becomes available.

To all my fellow perfectionists, wanting to put out your best work is valid. Just don’t let it become the reason you never share anything. Make it exist, then make it better.

I just love seeing people put the work in for years and finally have their moment. Everything is so fast paced now, and no one wants to wait for their dreams to come together, but meaningful work is supposed to take time.
Biggest take away from the Oscars for me is that finding people you love and making art with them is a worthy, integral and noble human pursuit, no matter the odds or outcomes.
Luck does play a part in the engagement and opportunities that come your way, but it’s proportional to your skill, consistency and intention with your art. The higher these stats are the more often you’ll get “lucky” in this way.
In other words “opportunity favors the prepared”
I remember tweeting about Black kids being “othered” and called “white” in school. A lot of Black people got mad, downplayed it, and acted like it had no effect. And yet, Black people are still having their Blackness questioned as adults in 2025 for their hobbies or the way they dress lmao. While yall are trying to debate the Blackness of actual Black people, yall are handing out cookout invites to non-Black people.
