@Fil_Filstar There was "Iron Saga VS" from last year which had a bunch of classic mecha guest characters but it never quite took off and still remains PC exclusive despite initial interest to get it ported.
@Diaphone_ As a big fan of Team Arcana (formerly Examu), interacting with the FGC has been almost nothing but miserable for the last decade plus.
It's all fun and games till a bunch of big names in the community randomly take potshots unprovoked.
@BeffenM I remember when the "Melty" bathroom jokes first came from the players themselves. Both to show how easy it was to set up and how dedicated they are to play it anywhere.
Then the FGC turned it into a dismissive joke. That it's so poverty, it's only played in the bathroom.
@HidingSilently2@NovaMania17 I'd say it depends on the genre and game but I digress.
I do agree that no failure states can greatly diminish set pieces that try to have urgency.
Though a lot of those experiences tend to be smoke and mirrors where failure is something you have to out of your way to even get.
@NovaMania17 People playing games in bad faith is kind of the norm. Not just nowadays but for generations at this point. So much of gaming pop culture is built upon it.
I definitely dislike it and wish more people would be willing to meet media eye-to-eye but that's never happening.
@not__yama@RagnellBlue So this is a boss version of Kamui which you can only fight at the end of, I think it was, the score attack mode.
She cheats. That's the answer.
@MastaStef Yeah, she's essentially a tag character in a 1v1 fighter.
Her whole gimmick is that most of her normals and specials can be made safe/extended/turned into mix by expending her unique resource. An alt-universe version of her pops in and they swap places.

@HellaBrett I just wish it wasn't happening to "Arcana Heart" of all fighters.
Like...come on. This darn series already has been through so much misfortune. It finally gets one good thing in a decade and suddenly it breaks into a culture war.
It's bloody cursed I tell you.
@NotDarkMagician@8biteric NISA. That was NISA.
People, please learn the difference between NIS and NISA. I know they are related but they conduct their own operations.
@RemiCeleste Though it obviously still super sucks. A game like this, which the FGC has largely undermined, needs every bit of support it can get.
It's a real bummer seeing TomaP rallying against it. He's like one of the few people still supporting the game, regularly hosting tournaments.
@RemiCeleste I'm not surprised. To my understanding, mods like this are generally viewed very unfavorably in Japan. Might actually be considered illegal even due to their copyright laws.
I remember when a top "Smash" player got banned over it some time ago.

@TarksGauntlet@_justthegems You're not the only one. While I wouldn't say I need every game to be full of gore, an occasional title hamming it up can be a fun time. Must be the horror lover in me.
Though I've been seeing a lot of push back against gore-y games lately. At least from the circles I see here.
@WOOMBSTONE Saying he enjoyed it is kinda a big stretch.
It was more that he was baffled and making fun of how outrageously stupid he found it.
Which, granted, is completely fair with that particular entry.
@TarksGauntlet For what's it worth, I thought it was both interesting and entertaining. I always appreciate a deeper dive into the more obscure games out there.
I really do wonder what you'd think of "Landstalker" given it's relative relation.
@TarksGauntlet@FrappMocha It's a fun little series, though I have more fondness for the first game in particular.
I'm still so peeved that the series almost made a return only for Mikage to fumble it all so badly.
It even had a spiritual successor, "Xicatrice", only for us to never get it either.
I guess I'm joining in with starting a media thread. I doubt anyone will see it, or even care, but having a relatively safe space to spew out some brief thoughts sounds pretty nice.
Okay then, here we go.
"AI LIMIT" (PS5)
I'm not remotely a "Soulsborne" fan but I still managed to enjoy it decently enough so I'm glad that I finally got around to playing it.
Too bad, despite only just releasing earlier this year, it feels like it's been completely forgotten about already though.
