Yesterday, i used Hermes Agent to build an App that can send messages to specific wallets via the the blockchain.

Core Idea

It lets users post permanent, immutable public messages/notes tied to any Solana wallet address.

Think of it as a decentralized reputation system, public comments, warnings (e.g., scam alerts), or simple wallet-to-wallet communication.. all stored transparently on the blockchain.

• Wallet-based identity
• Censorship-resistant and immutable messages.
• Low-cost, fast interactions thanks to Solana.

How It Works (Simple Flow)
1. Connect Wallet — Use Phantom/Solflare on the site.
2. Post Message — Write a note linked to a target wallet → sign a Solana transaction (via custom program/smart contract).
3. On-Chain Storage — SMS is recorded in Solana accounts (PDA). Small text fits directly on-chain; Solana’s high speed (~thousands TPS) and tiny fees (~$0.00025) make it practical.
4. View Messages — Anyone queries the program via RPC to see all notes for a wallet.
5. Token Role — SMS likely pays for posting or unlocks features (spam protection + revenue).

Tech Stack (Typical): React frontend + @ solana/web3.js, Rust/Anchor program on Solana, possible IPFS for larger data.

It’s lightweight, permanent, and leverages Solana’s Proof of History for fast, cheap, parallel processing.

sMessage (SMS) is basically the blockchain alternative to X’s irritating message request folder. It’s a signal app built on the Solana blockchain.
