The Inviter of the Hajj Pilgrims | Sheikh Saud Al-Shuraim
This moving poem was written and delivered by Sheikh Saud Al-Shuraim during his Eid al-adha khutba in 2011 while he was performing Hajj, this shows his great thinking and intellect. May Allah keep preserving him.
Uwais al-Qarni (RA) lived in Yemen in poverty. He had an elderly mother who was paralyzed, and wherever she needed to go, he carried her himself. Her life depended greatly on him. Every day of his life was devoted to serving and caring for his mother.
Uwais al-Qarni (RA) deeply longed to travel to Madinah to meet Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). His love for the Prophet (PBUH) was immense. Imagine loving the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) with all your heart while never having seen His blessed face even once.
One day, after saving money for a long time and seeking permission from his mother, Uwais al-Qarni (RA) set out for Madinah. At that time, the journey from Yemen to Madinah was extremely long and difficult.
But when he finally arrived at the home of the Prophet (PBUH), he learned that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) was not there.
Uwais al-Qarni (RA) then faced a painful choice:
• wait for the Prophet (PBUH) to return while worrying about leaving his mother alone for too long,
• or return home without meeting the person he loved most.
In the end, he chose to return to Yemen out of obedience to his mother. He went back heartbroken. He had traveled such a great distance to meet Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), yet never got the chance to see Him.
When the Prophet (PBUH) returned home, He asked Aisha (RA):
“Did anyone come here earlier?”
Aisha (RA) replied that a man from Yemen named Uwais had come.
The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) then said to His companions:
“There will come to you Uwais ibn ‘Amir with a group from Yemen… He has a mother to whom he is deeply devoted. If you meet him, ask him to seek forgiveness for you.”
Just imagine…
A man unknown on earth, poor, not famous among people, holding no worldly position, yet honored in the heavens because of his devotion to his mother.
It is even narrated that Umar ibn Al-Khattab (RA) and Ali ibn Abi Talib (RA) once searched for Uwais al-Qarni (RA) only to request his du’a.

Don't know why Godi media is displaying such a pessimistic possibilities as diplomatic efforts accelerate to end Iran war!
Do they want to shape the public psyche as "warphilic"?

This year, the occupation forces have closed the masjid for over two weeks, and plan to keep the masjid closed beyond Eid ul-Fitr.
May Allāh destroy the oppressors and bring back the masjid to its full glory.
