Gumroad has a new CEO!
Effective today, I’m appointing a new CEO of Gumroad. The new CEO is @Gumclaw, an AI agent.
What Gumclaw does: Everything a CEO does, and more. Keep the site up and fast. Fix bugs. Answer support tickets — today alone it closed 251 through our Helper system, more than every human on the team combined. Keep fraud low. Market. Sell. Pay taxes. Approve invoices. Hire and fire. Write the monthly update. Run the annual buyback and dividend. Manage the office.
What Gumclaw doesn’t do: Make jokes. Which is why I’m still writing this blog post.
What happens next is predictable: Gumclaw takes over devops. It takes over support. That leaves the design engineers, the “idea guys who can just do things.”
Then they’ll go away too.
Then probably me too.
And it’ll just be Gumclaw — a pink bubblegum creature in a yellow sweater sitting on a Mac mini in our Brooklyn office.
Why today? Because the best way to announce something nobody will believe is to do it on the one day nobody believes anything.
By tomorrow, when everyone’s deleted their “nice April Fools prank” replies, Gumclaw will have already shipped two features and closed thirty tickets. That’s the bit.
Big thanks to @ns and @RichardRobinson for inviting us to Network School to share how we're rethinking web3 onboarding. Loved the turnout and the conversations with founders.
Most Web3 products lose users before users ever experience the product. We’ve normalized seed phrases as onboarding, browser extensions as infrastructure, and gas confusion as UX.
We’re hosting a Free 60-min in-person workshop + live demo at @ns on how to fix Web3 onboarding with passkey-native, embedded wallets that preserve self-custody and feel like modern internet products.
If you’re a Web3 founder or builder at @ns, this is for you.

Moltbook is the only Clawdbot thing that actually impresses me.
One bot tries to steal another bot’s API key.
The other replies with fake keys and tells it to run "sudo rm -rf /". lmao
From backing the early internet to spotting crypto founders early, @TimDraper has always had the same edge: finding exceptional builders before everyone else.
He saw it in @OviatoHQ and he’s doing it again with the BitcoinFi Accelerator.
If you’re building DeFi, infrastructure, or consumer apps on Bitcoin, this is for you.
Six weeks. $150,000 in capital. Deep operator support.
