As a writer, I'm often asked on my travels why there aren't more Kenyan authors' works on sale on Amazon. As per Amazon's agreement with GoK, KRA takes 40% of royalties remitted to any bank account in Kenya.
Fresh water was discovered at the Lotikipi Aquifer in Turkana which can supply the whole country with water for 70 years. The Aquifer contains 250 Billion cubic meters of fresh water. The board that announced the discovery was fired weeks after the announcement and in a few days, another announcement was made that the water is too saline and unsafe for human consumption. We've been made slaves in our own country.
It should literally be illegal for bills affecting 50+ million Kenyans to pass when half of Parliament didn't even bother to show up for work.
If we don't show up to our jobs, we get fired. Why do they get to decide our future via empty chairs?
The police were originally established to protect private property and maintain and stabilize the current economic system. This has been the case in all historical economic systems (slavery, feudalism, and now capitalism). The only way out is overthrowing the current system and
State House budget under President William Ruto has now gone up by over 320% since he took over in September 2022.
The budget has increased from Sh4.4 billion in 2022/23 to the current Sh18.5 billion in 2025/26.
AMKENI! While you were watching the World Cup, they passed the Finance Bill 2026.
122 Voted YES
40 Voted NO
187 MPs were absent (Which means they silently sold us out)
We are NOT letting this slide. We need the list of all 309 MPs immediately. Expose them.
Why should taxpayers labour to have 349 reperesntatives if only 162 can be present when a crucial bill such as the Finance Bill is at the Floor of the House?
Is it not time we cut down this number to a reasonable size?
1. Husband = retired cop, accused after multiple kids and parents came forward
2. Husband reportedly confessed to her; she called the cops to report it, but nothing was done
3. She shot him in the leg & he is still alive
4. She is in jail, he is not
5. Reason: “Public Safety”
It's not even the money. It's the humiliation of the county governments. These people are doing the decent thing of running a business, and the government punishes them. Meanwhile, on the news, they see thugs being celebrated.

Politicians are not here to serve us, the earlier we understand this the better.
Bastards are looting everything bwana.
A level 5 hospital lacking cotton wool is diabolic.
Imagine your pregnant wife is sent to buy cotton wool in a nearby chemist while the governor is busy enjoying the loot.
When a post showed the President in a casket, the DCI tracked down and arrested the account owner in under an hour.
When Albert "spoke" about Eliud Lagat, he was picked up from Homa Bay and killed within 15hrs
The same DCI has taken years to identify the goons linked to the attack at All Saints, despite the information that an MP financed the violence.
If the DCI wants results, it can deliver them. The issue is not capacity, it's priorities, and sometimes whose interests are at stake.
Beatrice Elachi knows very well that Burundians did not cause unemployment in Kenya. Corruption did. Poor policy did. Mismanaged public funds did. But those things are harder to point at and they do not have a foreign accent.
Joel Kariuki Mwai, 45, was abducted at approximately 1:30 p.m. today Wednesday 18th June 2026 in Mathare Number 10 by unknown individuals who identified themselves as police officers.
He was walking from his shop in Mathare towards his home when he was approached by several men dressed in civilian clothes who claimed to be police officers. Joel is an active politician who has on several occasions contested for the MCA seat in Mabatini Ward.
Witnesses reported that he was forcibly bundled into a double-cab pickup with registration number KBZ 229B.
When residents attempted to intervene and prevent the abduction, the men drew their firearms and threatened them before speeding away with him.
His whereabouts remain unknown.
See how no one is no longer protesting about Finance Bill? Read 1984, by Orwell. Normalization of the abnormal.
The system really effed us up. It's sad that they have made us extremely docile.
Some 187 MPs were allegedly induced by the government to absent themselves from Parliament during the crucial vote on the Finance Bill 2026.
Many of these same legislators will later emerge in public forums, delivering eloquent lectures on economics and professing unwavering solidarity with ordinary Kenyans.
But how does an MP claim to stand with the people while failing to appear in Parliament and cast a "No" vote when the people most urgently require one?
Kenyans have seen this script before. Just as happened with sections of the draconian Finance Bill 2024, provisions temporarily withdrawn from the Finance Bill 2026 may well find their way back into Parliament through procedural manoeuvres, escaping meaningful public scrutiny before being quietly enacted.
When the dust settles, we will once again be told that there is nothing citizens can do about it. It is political duplicity masquerading as leadership.
