On March 2, around 6 AM, police arrived in two jeeps and knocked on the house of Imran Khan, a daily wage labourer, and his wife, Rajeeda, while they were asleep. During an arbitrary raid, their one-month-old infant daughter was crushed to death under a policeman’s foot. She was sleeping with her parents.

In a rare & heartbreaking incident, the mass burial of 27 unidentified dead bodies and 154 body parts recovered after the devastating July 30 landslides in Kerala’s Wayanad was held on Monday. The graves were prepared within a nearby tea estate.

IMD/IITM extended range forecast for July shows plentiful of rains, except the UP-Bihar belt and Nepal, where monsoon rainfall shows a long-term decline.
