Spoke to Devendra Mahto, who has been on a hunger strike for the past 9 days.

He told me that before being taken to the hospital, he was lathi-charged by the police and suffered injuries. He is also experiencing chest pain.

Be it Jantar Mantar or Jharkhand, such police brutality against students is cruel and inhuman.

After weeks of protests at Delhi's Jantar Mantar, AISA has announced the launch of 'Gen Z Rising: Neha's India Tour', a nationwide campaign aimed at taking the student movement across India. Announcing the first leg of the tour, AISA All India President Neha Bora said the campaign seeks to carry forward the spirit of the Jantar Mantar protests while intensifying the demand for education reforms following the removal of former Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

The campaign will focus on key demands including the abolition of the NTA, the rollback of the National Education Policy (NEP), and greater access to affordable quality education and secure employment for young people.
The first phase of the Tour will cover -
7th August: Ranchi
11th August: Kolkata
14th August: Jaipur
16th and 17th August: Hyderabad
18th August: Vijayawada
20th August: Chennai
22nd August: Calicut
