Peshawar Univerdity pensioners on roads demand8ng same time dispersal of pay &pension. Peshawar university paod 50% pension of April today. Many did not even get that due to late sending to banks. There is no talk of May pension yet.
Retired employees of the University of Peshawar standing in the scorching heat for basic pension rights is not just unfortunate, it is deeply concerning. Those who spent decades serving an institution deserve dignity, respect and timely pensions, not protests outside administration blocks. Institutions are remembered by how they treat their elders. #PeshawarUniversity #PensionersRights
@InsafPK@MeenakhanAfridi ek Ehsas Program Khyber Pakhtunkhwa ke retired University mulazimeen ke lye bhi shuru kia jaye aur khas tor par retired Professors ki maali mushkilaat ka ehsas kia jaye jin ko retirement ke baad na commutation ke paise milai aur na barwaqt mahaana pension milti hai.
Along with the pay denied to the employees of the University of Peshawar the retired faculty and other employees have not been paid their commutations since long and their monthly pensions are delayed for months or paid in installments.

@MuzzammilAslam3 Please recheck your figures. Universities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are dying and their employees and pensioners are crying for their salaries and pensions. The devolution of powers under the 18th Amendment also implies devolution of responsibilities regarding higher education.
I request all my friends on Twitter to please like and retweet my recent tweets about the plight of the employees of the University of Peshawar and help them get their due rights.
Higher education is dying and the government is unwilling to shoulder its responsibilities of funding the universities after the Eighteenth Amendment.

It's a matter of grave concern. The employees of the University of Peshawar and the pensioners are both suffering equally as salaries and monthly pensions are not paid due to KP government's complete indifference to its responsibilities of providing ample funds to universities.
University of Peshawar remains in a severe financial crisis, yet there is no attention towards the issue from the provincial or federal government. Employees & pensioners have not yet received the salary/pension of the month of June.

Just sent this by my former sister in law with the message “Opposition is busy” - this is a fake post circulating on social media.
When will this ever stop?
@NationalTextil2 No doubt, NTU is serving the Pakistan textile industry at its best. I am thankful to NTU and Prof. Dr. Tanveer Hussain for supervising my Ph.D. research work and making me among the pioneers of Ph.D. in the field of textile. I am proud to be his first ever Ph.D. research scholar.
