@ModestTeacher i did this once, but just the audio. When i listened back, I heard myself talking too fast, being less clear than i thought, and interrupting students who were working through a math problem. I never would have noticed those things without the recording. Highly recommend!
@StckedLibrarian when i worked at a public library appx 15 years ago, men were frequently arrested for masturbating in the payphone nook near the entrance. I learned then that the library isnt a place for unsupervised children.
@Nick_Offerman@TheLastofUsHBO@clmazin i loved your episode with Murray. I was pregnant when I watched it and cried so much I got a migraine that lasted 3 days. The migraine was terrible, but the story, and all the feelings it conveyed, were beautiful. I felt it so much I’m afraid to watch it again.
@alittleleader i LOVE mine. There is a slight learning curve, but nothing crazy. I get compliments every time i use it. Was recently told my hair looked like Barbie - which i loved. Most days it looks like a great blow out. I have straight not thick but not thin hair.
@Agb7405 i’ve been out of the classroom for several years, but in my experience, often the skill being assessed is how to use a specific method to get the answer. The skill is NOT just “get the right answer.” HOW the student gets there is the part that matters.
Everyone romanticizes having a large personal library, but one day, you'll move houses. One day, you'll be tasked with hauling those books up and down flights of stairs. And on that day, the romance ends.
@steve_vladeck As a former law student, I say schedule the deadline for when you need to start grading. Some students need the weekend to complete work and protecting their weekend for them is not wanted or helpful.
@MeaghanBurden I once called a parent about a student drinking red bull for breakfast. It affected his behavior. If the child has behavior problems and his or her lunch had a lot of sugar etc., a phone call seems appropriate.

@CecereCarl@Westlaw Wait! How do I get dumb quotation marks? Westlaw copy-and-paste gives me smart quotes, and I use a macro to change them (bc my job requires it).
