Bass Block Tip: Put a tiny amount of distortion on a bass guitar sample/virtual synth to give the bassline more presence in your mix. I find this replicates the tone I get from my Fender Precision Bass Guitar which are described as having a ‘Growl’ to their sound.

Bass Block Tip: Make the first bass note of your loop the 5th of the key quickly followed by the root. Important part is to play the 5th at a lower octave than the root. It sounds less obvious without sticking out and changes how you make the rest of the bassline. Give it a go.

Asked my kid TWICE in my sweetly spoken, high pitched daddy voice to turn the water tap off in the bathroom. I was ignored. Third time lucky, I brought out the deep voice I earned during puberty. Water stopped running - Bassweight matters
