I didnāt start @OrinHQ from a mind blowing idea
I started it because of something very ordinary that kept bothering me.
My mom and I used to return to the same hotel in Abuja every summer after my dad passed, it became our reset place but even after years of staying there, nothing ever remembered us.
Every time:
⢠same questions at check in
⢠same repeated preferences
⢠same āfirst time guestā treatment
One detail stuck with me so bad
my mom hates Chapman but guess what they served it to her every single year at check in.
Thatās when it clicked
loyalty without memory isnāt loyalty at all and thatās why Iām building ORIN.
I didnāt expect this one ngl.
The last few months have been hard, bootstrapping, carrying the technical and commercial sides alone and wondering if any of it is actually working.
Today I got accepted into the @QSTP Incubation Programā¦ā¦Yes Qatar Foundationās premier technology and innovation hub home to ExxonMobil, Microsoft, Cisco and some of the most serious startups in the Middle East.
Iām not sharing this to celebrate how far @OrinHQ has come, I am sharing it because of how far Iāve come.
Some days you just need proof that the work is being seen and today was that day.
A few weeks ago, we published our SDG Impact Report.
The numbers told one story.
The people behind them told another.
Hereās what the report actually look like when you stop counting and start reading.

I spend most of my time doing one thing, turning messy manual processes into systems that run without me.
Lately thatās meant using AI as part of the system not just a tool on the side.
Hereās the first thing I noticed
Everyoneās obsessed with āusing AIā right now but no one talk about what actually happens after you plug it in.
Over the next few weeks Iām going to share the actual problems I solve this way.

Most people think AI will change the world mostly online.
I think the bigger change will happen in the physical world
ā¢Hotels
ā¢Airport
ā¢Restaurants
ā¢Retail stores etc
Today most physical experiences have amnesia.
You visit the same restaurant every month and they know your name but not your habits.
You become a loyal customer yet every interaction starts from zero.
Meanwhile, AI is getting better at remembering, reasoning and acting on our behalf.
The opportunity isnāt just building smarter software.
Itās building memory for physical spaces thatās one of the reasons Iām building Orin not because hotels need another booking platform but because the future guest experience wonāt be powered by forms, loyalty points or static profiles, it will be powered by persistent memory.
The hotel should remember
The room should adapt
The experience should improve every time.
And this idea goes beyond hospitality.
The companies that win in the next decade will not be the ones with the most users, they may be the ones with the richest memory layer.
AI is changing software but Iām more interested in how it changes the real world.
What everyday place do you wish actually remembered you?
Most people frame AI as a communication upgrade better chat interfaces, better assistants, better automation.
But the real shift is structural.
AI is beginning to change how real world services are designed and delivered.
Hospitality is a clear example of this, despite years of āpersonalization,ā most guest interactions still reset at every visit.
There is no memory layer connecting one stay to the next.
What AI introduces is not just intelligence but continuity, the ability for systems to remember, adapt and act based on long term context.
That changes the foundation of service design itself.
