#XFactorTheBand
Watching on catch up, coincidence that Simon kept harping on about the new "British" boy band and the final cut he only gets rid of the two Irish guys who were amazing singers.
Totally and so out of sync with International Best Practice.
Any improvement that has been made will be non existent if they revert back to this target again. It's very important to know the effect that even a few months can impact on a child waiting for surgery.
@shalryan At that point the @HSELive target for scoliosis surgery was set at 18mths ! A wholly administrative target, one with no basis in science or research.
@scolionetwork Clinical decision was that my daughter needed surgery urgently and within 6 weeks max, she waited a year and that was a year of constant fighting to get her surgery. The 4 month target had not been in place then. That year was the worst of all our lives watching her deterioration
@daraobriain I’m hoping you could help a Mam out. Noah’s 8th bday is the end of the month and he’s a huge fan (pic for ref) he’s heading for major spinal surgery this summer.we want to make his bday really special for him any chance of a little message maybe if you have time?
@HSELive statement on wait time for wheelchair. No funds for children who must suffer on. Limitless funds & no accountability for others. It’s a very cruel society that leaves a child to develop stage 4 pressure sores. @SimonHarrisTD @campaignforleo @DonnellyStephen @loreillysf
“Liam needs a special moulded seat-his OT recently said it needs a moulded back because of his #scoliosis
“We’ve been waiting months for a new chair & as a consequence, Liam has suffered stage 4 pressure sores,” @SimonHarrisTD https://t.co/cHEQGb7vz7
@RENUADublinSC @rtenews @LeeLeeBrennan You have obviously have never had to travel with a seriously ill child.
My daughter could barely tolerate lying back in a car seat suffering with severe scoliosis when we had to travel to Olchc while travelling from Limerick for appts, you are saying there's Luas. Get a grip.
@drwilliamlynch We’ve approx. 800 familes in our group - many currently attending children’s hospitals. All feel St. James Location is very wrong. Parents are not happy with overspend & location-Irish children are being failed @AaronDa49790028 @AnnieTrueman@McNiffecent@shalryan@SimonHarrisTD
2 years ago Darragh was in Halo Traction before his spinal surgery. Today he had super fun @Barretstown - children can live well with #scoliosis. Access to care is so important. @SimonHarrisTD promised our children they wouldn’t wait longer than 4 mths - This target not met.
#scoliosis I took this tonight. It'll be the last photo of Brendan's back before his spinal fusion tomorrow. @SimonHarrisTD this is what happens making a child wait over 16 months on the so called URGENT operation list. Look at him, please. This is the result of failed policy.
No child should wait 16mths for #scoliosis surgery. 4mth targets are in line with international best practice. Resource our children’s surgeons so they can work to reach targets. Open theatres to full capacity. Pay our children’s nurses & Drs fairly @SimonHarrisTD@OCO_ireland
@AddressingLife@scolionetwork@SimonHarrisTD Just beyond words Tracy.
I have been in your shoes having to go public also.
Unbelievable what has to be done just to get life saving surgery for our children.
Surgery that is their human right.
@HSELive@SimonHarrisTD hang your heads in shame.
Best wishes for tomorrow x
2k fun run today. Pic on right 2 years ago before sucessful scoliosis surgery. The happiness as he finshed the race is a moment i will never forget. Allowing kids wait for #scoliosis care is inhumane @scolionetwork@SimonHarrisTD
https://t.co/Yqpu9uGy8Y Cappagh hospital exceeding spinal fusion targets for 2018. Hopeful to complete 50 #scoliosis surgeries by yr end. Mr. Green says we don’t need to build elective hosp - investment of 7.5m would mean theatre 5 could open = 800 cases per yr. @SimonHarrisTD
