Boeing is now cancelled in China. The great decoupling begins. Or so it seems.
The reality is that Boeingโs planes that are manufactured in America, for Americans, include about 10,000 Chinese made parts. In each plane.
In China, they use American made avionics and engines in their planes. Pretty important parts.
The trade war shows a stunning misunderstanding of how global supply chains work.
While itโs theoretically possible to decouple, trade is also a major driver of peace.
I prefer incentives for peace. Just sayinโ.
BREAKING: Donald Trump right now:
And don't let some of these politicians...let me tell you. These countries are calling me, kissing my ass, they are dying to make a [trade] deal..."please please sir let me make a deal, I'll do anything, I'll do anything sir."
I thought my disgust for Trump peaked long ago, but I was so wrong. His second term is showing his stupidity and malice have no limits. He's a lot more dangerous now than before.
No single person should have the power to do what Trump is doing right now unilaterally dictating world trade & fucking with the world economy. No person should have that power. Certainly not in this country. Shame on u Congressional Republicans for giving it to him. Shame on u.

Trump on Gaza: I think itโs an incredible piece of important real estate. And I think itโs something that we would be involved inโฆcontrolling and owning the Gaza Strip would be a good thingโฆ if you move the Palestinians around to different countries, you really have a freedom zone.
When I said below that one day after Israel murdered a 14-year-old American in the West Bank, Trump would hold Netanyahu's chair for him like a waiter, I was speaking metaphorically because he did it the last time. But yes, he did it again today:๐ฎ๐ฑ๐บ๐ธ
Lutnick: "The army of millions and millions of human beings screwing in little screws to make iPhones -- that kind of thing is going to come to America."
