@BBCNews My dad had a diabetic hypo it was assumed he passed out drunk in his car. The men who saw him joked about it to an ex nurse who checked and smelt the familiar pear drop type smell, she literally saved his life. He now wears a dog tag type Medic Alert around his neck.
