ALERT: Judge Carl Nichols has ordered the Trump Admin. to respond by the end of the day to plaintiffs who've challenged Reflecting Pool project
Plaintiffs (a conservation group) want Team Trump to halt future "renovations" til proper studies are conducted
They say the initial damage to Pool from the initial "renovations" was.... "forseeable"

A note to my friends who still back Trump:
I am not here to dunk on you. I am writing because you have a working brain, and this story insults it.
The Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool got a $14 million paint job. Shortly thereafter the water turned green and the new “American flag blue” coating started peeling off the bottom in sheets. Trump says vandals did it. He claims, without evidence, that someone took a knife and cut a 300-foot slit, a number that grew to 350 feet while he was still talking.
Back on May 4, Trump bragged about that same coating and said, if you had a knife, you could not even cut it, so strong, like powerful rubber. He cannot have it both ways.
And the green water?
A George Mason scientist tested it and found ordinary, non-toxic algae, the kind that blooms in any shallow sunny pool. To fight it, crews dumped hydrogen peroxide into the water.
Hydrogen peroxide is also a paint stripper.
That, not sabotage or vandalism, is the obvious reason the paint came off. They wrecked their own paint job, then blamed phantom vandals for it.
The lone "vandal" they paraded is a 67-year-old Olympian who touched a flap of paint already peeling on its own.
Here is the thing. If they will look you in the eye and lie about something this small, something you can see with your own eyes, ask yourself what else they are lying to you about.
Again, you have a working brain. People like Karoline Leavitt are counting on you to stay loyal instead of exercising independent thought.
Prove them wrong.
The Reflecting Pool used to reflect the grandeur of the Washington Monument, the solemnity of our war memorials, and the leadership of Lincoln, seated at his memorial, onto the grounds of our nation’s capital.
Now, appropriately, all that can be seen in its reflection is the toxic filth and decay of the Trump administration.
PabloReports: Does Donald Trump get to keep this Qatari jet after the presidency?
Raskin: No, he does not. You know why? Because the Constitution says he can’t do it.
Because the Constitution says that the president may not receive a present, an emolument—which means a payment, an office or title of any kind—from a king, a prince, or a foreign state without the consent of Congress.
And Congress has not consented to him keeping a $400 million jet. So it’s got to be turned over immediately to Congress for disposition.
We can either send it back to the people in Qatar, or we can keep it and do something different with it. But it doesn’t belong to the president.
You know, Abraham Lincoln, in the middle of the Civil War, wanted to keep some elephant tusks he’d gotten from the King of Siam. He never kept a present before. He wrote a letter to Congress. He said, “Can I keep this?” And Congress said, you know, you’re doing a great job, Honest Abe, and we love you, but no, you can’t keep it. Turn it over to the Department of State. That’s the right way to do it.
Every other president has come to Congress to ask whether they can keep one of these foreign gifts from a government, king, or prince. President Trump should be no different. He’s got to come to us too. And if not, we’ll just have to requisition it and confiscate it.
@Bill43111 None of our allies trust this administration. In fact, nobody trusts this administration - some grift off it, some indulge dopamine addictions off it, and some just benefit from being on the administration's side of the oligarchy, but nobody trusts it.
Looking back, the Sharpie weather map incident was truly a missed opportunity to speak to his pathology. He doctored it in plain view. Sat there on TV ranting. It was SO far out there, should have been seen as concrete evidence of how uncontrollably dysfunctional he is.
Sharpie is an example of an incident where mental health pros could and should have been engaged on TV for opinion and expertise. Back then, ANYONE criticizing him for ANYTHING got retaliated against - and we - psychologists - really didn't care. Tons of colleagues were willing.
Think about what the Sharpie incident was. Trump made a gaffe that a normal person could have easily walked back. But this shows he has an inability to let ANYTHING go. Large OR small. It's a pathological disorder.
If he would arrest people who dared to pick a piece of discarded refuse from a botched refurbishing of a vanity project to further a narrative, then he would disappear migrants who were living here peacefully in communities to empower his personal police force and further another narrative.
And it is OBVIOUS he'd NEVER accept losing an election.
#BREAKING: Hayes: “Acting AG Todd Blanche told Congress not to worry about the $1.8 billion slush fund for insurrectionists…The DOJ then told the court the same thing—don’t worry, it’s moot, it’s dropped, and then last week, the judge said okay, fine, put it in writing. She ordered Blanche and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and an associate AG to all sign ‘a declaration under the penalty of perjury, they will not take any action to create or operate the anti-weaponization fund and that the anti-weaponization fund will not proceed in any manner or under any name.’ Well, today was the deadline for that and guess what? They came back to the court and they said no, we’re NOT doing it. We’re NOT filing any declaration to officially kill the fund, which probably means the slush fund is NOT dead.”🙄🤦♀️
BREAKING: @DDAction_ is calling on Congress to scrutinize Trump's proposed $300B Iran reconstruction deal -- who authorized it, where the money goes, & whether the Trump family stands to benefit
Congress must act before any money moves -TN
Sen. Tuberville promised voters he would donate “every dime” he made in Washington, D.C., to Alabama veterans — and even present checks on a monthly basis. Six years later, tax records and his own nonprofit show no evidence that ever happened.

OWNED BY HIS DISORDERS - one phrase I tweet often, which bears repeating today, is: "Trump is owned by his disorders." You really see it now.
He can't pivot. He can't shut up. He can't stop. He doesn't sleep. His energy is uneven. Oratory skills are shot. He is more disconnected from reality than ever.
He's in the "desperation" phase of his decline. He has likely begun to see visions of his own demise. He is hyper-conscious of time, because he knows his is dwindling. He can't reconcile that. He has to stray farther from actual reality to force-feed HIS reality, one where he is still lucid, persuasive, and grandiose.
Whereas he used to spew false narratives, now he spews entire false realities.
He suffers new humiliation in every confrontation, new injury with every polling update. He's triggered by every insult, paranoid that there's nobody he can trust.
This is a malignant narcissist, in decline, flailing, consumed by fears, and - owned by his disorders.
Absolute fucking clown show.
The administration is desperate to spin this deal in any sort of positive light.
The reality is that we gave in to all of Iran’s demands, and we got a pinky promise out of it.
