Looking for a Rust engineer to work on Farcaster Snapchain.

It's primary job is to generate social feeds with Farcaster data for our users.

It's a simple but robust system built on Redis streams that handles different queues, scheduling, retries and error recovery gracefully.

Farcaster Hubs now take ~ 3 mins to setup. Once set up you can:

- Read 3.8M historical user messages
- Stream new messages from users in real time
- Write messages and have them show up immediately in Farcaster apps.

You could have a Hub running on your laptop in less than five minutes.

@wincent I’ve found it’s worthwhile to have one to at least protect your modem+router so power interruptions do not affect your workday. Outages are rare, but when they do happen are very disruptive, and I’ve had modems fail after power disruptions (perhaps that’s just bad luck though).

@wincent I store paper docs in a fireproof safe, but try to make digital copies wherever possible and rely on those as backups. Any important physical document that truly can’t be replaced should go in a safe deposit box, IMO.
