As part of a writing challenge last year, I wrote and self-published a little book of poetry. Check out the link to get it for less than a cup of coffee ☕

@beingdhiru@MilanBarsopia It was actually renewed for the second season by Netflix but apparently the budget was exceeding what Netfix was agreeing to.
Like a yardstick calibrated in millimeters, a journal holds both the detail and the scope of life. Our human condition is to live one moment at a time; we’re never given more than that. Of all the gifts journaling gives us, maybe that’s the greatest: The simple practice of making daily marks on paper, like mental push-ups, can strengthen the part of us that tries to rise above the timeline, to see a pattern and bigger picture — and, paradoxically, also strengthen the part of us that can learn to treasure the present moment.
From this wonderful essay about journaling by the Jordan Mechner

@marthandavelan I think in present day this is grossly exaggerated or I got lucky. 5 days of travel last year just Paris and didn't once experience this
The truth is that the low cost mindset is so embedded in our psyche that it is hard to change. I remember an Uber driver telling me that the price that you pay for a ride offers razor thin margins to him and customers are not willing to pay him sometimes even Rs 2 extra. Saw it with my own mom. I told her what difference does it make to round up. She was insistent on not paying a rupee more. I understand that they came up through hard times trying to raise us but she and I are in significantly better financials states now but the mindset never changes. And they don't realize who is paying the price.
The cost of a taxi in western countries is probably 3x what I would pay here but the difference is that you have a viable cheaper public transport alternative.
@sab_maya_hai__ Can’t speak for the other things but I went to Machu Picchu more than 12 years and the joy has never faded. Brings me immense pleasure thinking even now of that trip
@a_sajo This is me when I used to stay in Pune. My eternal fear was getting read ended while stopping at the signal because literally no one other than me was stopping.
