In Alberta, a non-citizen not eligible to vote can simply sign a declaration that they're a citizen, show ID proving their name and address, and then vote.

Let that sink in.

Non-citizens can simply self-attest, vote as a citizen, and probably get away with it because as far as I can tell, Alberta doesn’t verify immigration/citizenship status with federal databases.

Facing an $1800 a month daycare bill is career pausing for many BC families - $300 a month daycare for those families mean they can continue to work. $1800 daycare for Dave Eby’s family would mean fewer Patagonia jackets, but likely isn’t career pausing. Dave has a $10 space.
