The River Wye has just made UK history.
For the first time, an entire river catchment has been formally recognised as a living ecosystem with rights - including the right to flow, thrive, regenerate, and be free from pollution.
It's a major victory for nature.
Drugs is usually mostly to blame for bus accidents.. I'm currently on a bus.. its raining.. dude is driving fast, taking over cars and lorries.. and he's swiping on his damn phone looking at tiktok!!
A solar farm in Minnesota planted native wildflowers between its panel rows. Five years later, total insect populations tripled. Native bees increased 20-fold.
Not only did insect populations boom, soybean fields next to the solar arrays got twice as many bee visits as fields farther away.
Two of the things we usually think of as competing turned out to reinforce each other.
One study, published in Environmental Research Letters in late 2024, tracked two utility-scale solar sites built on retired farmland in southern Minnesota, where the developer seeded native prairie species between rows of panels in 2018.
By 2022, the sites looked less like industrial energy infrastructure and more like remnant prairie.
Goldenrod soldier beetles colonized the goldenrod stands. Bumblebees nested in the soil. Monarch butterflies passed through during migration. The wildflower diversity grew sevenfold; insect diversity grew eightfold.
This matters because, like it or not, utility-scale solar is going to take up real space. The US is on track to cover roughly six million acres in panels by 2050.
The default approach is turfgrass, gravel, or herbicide-maintained bare ground, which is ecologically dead.
The Argonne study shows the alternative isn't more expensive or harder to maintain. It's just a different seed mix.
Israel executed Hadi, Hussein, and Hussein today in Majdalzoun, South Lebanon.

Happy World Tapir Day
Malaysia is among the countries that have the largest tapir species in the world.
This tapir species is known as the Malayan tapir or its scientific name Tapirus indicus. Interestingly, this species is also the only tapir species in the world that has a distinctive color, namely white stripes on its body. Behind its unique appearance, the tapir plays an important role in maintaining the balance of our forest ecosystem.
However, despite its importance, this species is increasingly threatened. Loss of habitat due to development activities, road accidents, and irresponsible human activities continue to endanger the population of this species.
World Tapir Day reminds us that every species has its own role and value in the natural world. Without our actions today, future generations may not be able to recognize this unique species.
Come on, let's play our part together:
โ Protect natural habitats
โ Comply with wildlife laws
โ Spread awareness to the community
Every small effort of ours brings about big changes. Protect the tapir, protect our natural heritage.
Israel killed Rico Pramudia in South Lebanon.
He died of his injuries today.
He wasnโt a fighter โ he was a UN PEACEKEEPER from Indonesia.
Israel killed him anyway.
And not a single whisper from Western media.
No international outrage. No justice. No accountability.
