Following the recent events at GMC Anantnag resident doctors have released a clarification video to provide an accurate account of the incident.

He is Suraj Bhaskar.

He wanted to become a doctor. Realising it was not possible through the normal route, he cut off part of his own leg to become eligible under the disability quota.

Since a police investigation report is required for a disability certificate, he informed the police that he had been attacked by unknown assailants who beat him and cut off his foot.

During the investigation, the police checked his phone and found his girlfriend’s contact. She was summoned and told the police that he had been trying to obtain a fake disability quota certificate by bribing officials even before the incident.

The police later discovered evidence, including anesthesia syringes and surgical tools that were used to cut off his own foot.

What a waste! He should have consulted someone UPSC-qualified on how to get a fake disability certificate instead!

Jammu has 38% population but takes 67% jobs. This is not imbalance this is systematic sidelining. One solution remains. Division wise reservation or separate Jammu& Kashmir into two states.Anything less is injustice at its peak

Students were detained. @RuhullahMehdi was put under house arrest. And the elected government chose silence.

So we request them to answer this, clearly and publicly:

1. Who ordered the detention of students, leaders and @RuhullahMehdi’s house arrest? If the matter lies with the LG, why did the elected government neither intervene nor even issue a statement?

2. How long will you wait for files to return from the LG’s office? Give a timeline. Or admit you have none.

3. If every issue concerning the people of J&K is brushed aside by saying “LG approval is pending,” is waiting your only policy?

4. If students and leaders peacefully decide to take this issue directly to the LG, will the elected government walk with us or continue to hide?

5. After this, are the CM, MLAs, and elected representatives ready to come to Delhi with @RuhullahMehdi and stay there until one demand is met��either release of political prisoners held without trial, or time-bound completion of their trials?

6. And will the government and the rest of the National Conference even demand a discussion with Delhi on the Assembly resolution on J&K’s special status or will that also be left “pending”?

Governments are elected to act, and not to wait. We request timely answers to the above questions, as these questions are not for the LG and hence this file is pending with YOU.

So the NC party president is labelling the peaceful protest for RATIONALISATION OF RESERVATION as disruption (uthal-puthal), saying some leaders don't want progress but turmoil & we won't let it happen.

And then people criticise the LG or Modi govt for being harsh? Before them, our own govt is seeing and presenting us as perpetrators of violence if we dare raise our voice for our genuine demands.

This statement presents all those Kashmiris who want to question the govt as a threat to security & it is disastrous for the democracy that people overwhelmingly owned recently.

The default response of those in authority to every issue in or about Kashmir is-use of force. Even if it is a peaceful sit-in by anxious students protesting a lopsided reservation policy jeopardising their future, demanding justice. Strongly condemn the house detention of leaders and activists supporting the students and some student leaders. This is a very important concern of people that needs redressal without delay not reprisal, before it blows up. The elected Govt has a responsibility to fulfil in this matter. Besides the matter of harassment that Kashmiri’s in Haryana, Himachal and other parts of India are facing, also needs to be seriously taken up and addressed by them.

The Police has officially informed Hon’ble MP @RuhullahMehdi that he has been placed under house arrest and is barred from stepping outside.

We have also recieved reports late last night that students have been arrested and their families intimidated by the police. All this is because of them asking for a fair chance at success through a rational reservation policy.

Less than 40% gazetted jobs in the administration and Police for more than 70% of the 'Open Merit' population and more than 60% of the jobs reserved for less than 30% of the population. This is the injustice Delhi is protecting and the Omar Abdullah government is failing to undo in Jammu and Kashmir. Shares should be strictly proportional to the size of a population. The proposed 10% increase to OM wouldn't be justice. No 50:50, only 70:30

With due respect, if after serving as MLA of Gurez from 2002 to 2024 there is still not a single institute offering science, then who should be held responsible? The students or your 22 years in power? You had two full decades to change that reality, yet today you choose to blame Open Merit students for your own administrative failure. How fair is that?

Please tell us, sir; what exactly stopped you from establishing even one science institute in 22 years?
