@sandyjamesplan @j_mcelroy Good memories for an old musician. We recorded that at Pinewood on Homer Street. During the Fair I played many shows in the Expo Theatre. After the shows finished we would walk off the grounds, up the escapement to Beatty Street listening to that music and watching the fireworks.

@alexwh The trumpet pictured (with its raised bell) was made by the Getzen company. It was developed by Bobby Herriot as a way to avoid playing into a music stand. Bob was a mainstay of commercial music in Vancouver for decades until he left for Toronto.
