Twelve hr surgery scheduled followed by chemo and radiation. She lived 4 more years. Pretty good outcome for that cancer. She was 80 when diagnosed & they didn’t euthanize her.

In Canada everybody pays and everybody benefits. Universal healthcare doesn’t just cover the poor. Everyone has equal access. They can opt for private insurance but most don’t.

Thats a misunderstanding among Americans opposed to universal healthcare. It’s subsidized with taxes. Folks don’t pay exorbitant prices for insurance premiums only to be denied payment for services. Or lose their homes.
