Now that the Supreme Court has given its blessing to birth tourism, it's probably worth revisiting this story from 2019.
A Chinese national named Dongyuan Li ran a company called You Win USA Vacation Services that helped pregnant Chinese women travel to the U.S. to give birth so their children would get citizenship. She advertised having served more than 500 customers, charged each between $40,000 and $80,000, used 20 apartments in Irvine to house the mothers, and took in $3 million in wire transfers from China in two years.
Customers were coached to lie on their visa applications and at the U.S. consulate interview in China, claiming they'd stay only two weeks when they actually planned to stay up to three months to give birth. They were told to come early in pregnancy and were coached on how to conceal their pregnancies from customs.
You Win's marketing pitch was that giving birth in the U.S. meant "13 years of free education," "less pollution," "an easier way for the whole family to immigrate to the United States," and "priority for jobs in U.S. government, public companies, and large corporations."
What could possibly go wrong by constitutionalizing the incentive driving these schemes?
π¨ JUST IN: Sen. @BernieMoreno pledges to run former Democrat Senate Leader Harry Reidβs EXACT 1993 bill ELIMINATING birthright citizenship for children of illegals
Harry Reid NAILED it π₯: "If you break our laws by entering this country without permission and give birth to a child, we reward that child with U.S. citizenship and guarantee FULL ACCESS to all public and social services this society provides."
"NO sane country would do that, right?! Guess again."
"Is it any wonder that two-thirds of the babies born at taxpayer expense at county-run hospitals in Los Angeles are born to ILLEGAL ALIEN mothers?" π―
(GREAT job finding this bill @BillMelugin_)
Soβ¦.Chinese parents can fly to the US, have a baby here, go right back to China and raise a little America-hating communist, then that child can return to the US at age 35 and run for president.
Or how about Iranian parents do that?
Fucking ridiculous.
The Supreme Courtβs decision on birthright citizenship is disappointing. Thatβs why I've already filed an amendment to end birthright citizenship for those here illegally. Iβll keep fighting to protect the integrity of American citizenship.
π¨ FACTS: THE MAN WHO WROTE THE 14TH AMENDMENT NEVER INTENDED IT FOR ILLEGAL ALIENS!
Senator Jacob Howard authored the citizenship clause of the 14th Amendment in 1866. He stood on the floor of the United States Senate and said it himself.
The amendment would NOT include, he stated, "persons born in the United States who are foreigners, aliens."
Read that again. The author. His own words. On the record.
The 14th Amendment was written for one purpose. To grant citizenship to freed slaves after the Civil War. That was the whole point. That was the entire debate.
Nobody in that Senate chamber was talking about people sneaking across a border a century later and having a baby.
Yet here we are. A clause written to correct the injustice of slavery has been twisted into a loophole that hands out citizenship like candy to anyone whose mother can make it to American soil in time.
Trump is not attacking the Constitution. He is demanding we read it the way its author actually wrote it.
The man who wrote the law agreed with Trump. That should settle it.
Justice Clarence Thomas after the Supreme Court upheld birthright citizenship:
βI am not sure that todayβs opinion will stand the test of time. The Citizenship Clause βadded greatly to the dignity and glory of American citizenship.β Todayβs opinion devalues that citizenship.β
π¨ stop scrolling.. do you understand what this fake degree ring actually means to your life..
because most people only think about visa fraud as a paperwork problem..
those 100,000 seized certificates weren't for desk jobs.. they were for medicine.. nursing.. engineering.. IT.. fields where a fake credential doesn't just steal a job.. it puts someone in a hospital treating your family..
and here's the part nobody's connecting..
100,000 seized is 10% of the estimated total.. 900,000 fake degrees are still out there.. attached to real people.. working real jobs.. inside real companies and real hospitals that verified nothing..
a former US consular officer who processed 51,000 H-1B applications in Chennai said 80 to 90% of the applicants she saw used fraudulent documentation..
a 2008 USCIS audit found more than 13% of already-approved H-1Bs were fraudulent..
that was 18 years ago.. the program kept running..
Manav Bharti University sold 36,025 fake degrees while issuing only 5,455 real ones.. this has been running since at least 2010..
this isn't a printer in a back room.. it's a supply chain.. fake seals.. fake holograms.. fake transcripts.. 22 universities.. multiple states.. an estimated 1 million documents worldwide..
your doctor might have one of these degrees..
the system worked for the forgers.. just not for you.
I'll keep you updated. Turn on notifications. π¨

π¨ WOW! Justice Alito is absolutely FUMING over SCOTUS giving the green light to birthright citizenship
"In my judgment, the court has made a mistake that will seriously affect the country's future."
"Suppose that a person's only connection to this country is that he was born here to a mother who was present just long enough to give birth and then quickly return to her native country.
Suppose that country is a strategic adversary or enemy of the United States. Suppose the child NEVER visited the United States while grow and was inculcated with hatred of this country.
According to this court, now, that person is a citizen of the United States. He can enter and leave the country as he pleases. He can travel the world on a United States passport.
Even if he plots to harm this country, he cannot be deprived of his status as a citizen, at least under current precedent." β Justice Samuel Alito in his dissent
π¨#BREAKING: We are learning some INSANE details about the North Carolina jail where inmates overpowered guards and took control of the jail.
Apparently there were only 3 GUARDS ON DUTY at the jail for 88 inmates during the time of the takeover.
Yes, you read that right... three.
>At 5:00 AM inmates at the Bertie-Martin Regional Detention Center in North Carolina began rioting.
A few inmates overpowered two of the three guards and took control of the facility. The third guard escaped the jail and fled, while the other two guards are taken hostage.
The inmates that overpowered the guards assaulted the on-duty staff and then seized large portions of the building.
>At 9:30 AM, after hours of negotiation, the two hostage guards walk out and 18 inmates are also released with them.
>9:50 AM. A second large group of inmates exits the facility.
So far there have been no fatalities.
There are currently TWENTY law enforcement agencies on the scene to try to re-take control of the jail.
The inmates currently inside the jail are alleged to be armed with weapons.
