@theholofiles Why are so many wanting like HBO level story writing for a Mario movie? Even the games are super simplistic. As long as its a fun and entertaining time, they win. Its no wonder critics scores are so low compared to audience.

@AndrewJ626 Lore? All the lore you need to know is Mario saves a princess and uses pipes to travel. Every game is its own identity in terms of lore. So really, it makes even more sense the movies are self contained with their own lore, as none of the games touch on each other either.

Most games back then were literally get through the other side, save princess. No story but absolutely entertaining at the time.
