The jays are exactly 50-50 to make the playoffs. Not bad for a team that’s below .500 and decimated with injuries. But it’s a reflection of a weak middle in the AL and an expectations that many of their stars will be performing on the field soon.
@KeeganMatheson Especially since we will want to ease kirk in so catch 3-4x a week maybe DH once. And pull him for pinch runners so backup catcher getting 30-40% of playing time
Over 2/3 of the teams are basically have nots. The tigers have the 10th highest payroll of 30 teams and likely can’t afford to re-sign their own ace. So 2/3 of fans better off with a long lockout and floor/cap system.
If I’m a pirates (or any small market team which is over half the teams that are basically have nots) I’d happily trade two years of no baseball for a lifetime of having a chance to win it.

Wow is yesterday’s horrid loss made worse now. @bluejays getting rocked. No need for varland today or tomorrow (off day). Meanwhile Hoffman/Scheneider blew a big divisional game yesterday. Sucks.
Sad to say this tweet aged well. Lauer was solid but didn’t like openers and we bounce him. Hoffman and Little just stink and Schneider keeps setting them up for failure.
@KeeganMatheson@OverDrive1050 Handled like shit. Hoffman looked shaky last year and schendier in denial for as long as possible. Like little. He’s got a history of sticking with struggling relievers for too long
