Congratulations to the @northwesternu Kellogg Class of 2026!
Last year, I was honored to receive the Wade Fetzer Award from @KelloggSchool. This award means so much to me because it reflects the values Northwestern helped instill in me: dedication, loyalty, and a commitment to helping others.
My experience at Kellogg shaped the kind of leader I strive to be, and I hope each graduate leaves knowing they can make a real difference in the lives of others and their communities.
Wishing the entire Class of 2026 success in their endeavors. Go Cats! ๐

Each week, I am hearing from more and more neighbors who are worried about how the rapid growth of AI data centers is taking up open land across Texas and disrupting our communities. If elected, I will work to ensure technology growth does not come at the expense of our neighborhoods, land rights, utility costs, water supply, or the job market. #turntexasblue #texasdemocrats #houstondemocrats #AIDataCenters #AI
In light of the news that inflation just climbed a 3rd consecutive month (as a reult of the war in Iran), this video shows how incredibly out of touch Trump is with the painful reality facing everyday Americans. Saying you "love inflation" while people are facing increased prices at the grocery store and the gas pump isn't just bad economics, it is being completely dismissive of the immense struggles that hardworking families in our country are currently facing.ย
The President and his administration cannot solve a problem if they refuse to acknowledge it and take it seriously.
When asked if he is concerned about the latest inflation numbers that came out this morning, President Trump responded, โNo, I love it. The numbers were great. You know what I really love? I love the inflation.โ
โYou know why? Because as soon as this war is over โ you know, I can say it now,โ Trump said. โSo you know we've been taking out millions of barrels of oil? Nobody knows it. You know who doesn't know about it? Iran until right now.โ
Inflation topped 4% in May as the Consumer Price Index surged to its highest level in more than three years.
I am tracking gas prices as I travel across the district. High fuel costs remain a daily burden for families and workers who rely on their vehicles every single day. If elected , I will prioritize practical economic solutions to lower the fuel costs.
I went back for another grocery run to see if prices had dropped. With the same 26 items from the same HEB, the total was roughly 1% higher than our last trip in April. That is over 12% per year!ย That is painful inflation! Iโm tired of watching families do everything right and still fall behind. This is our neighborsโ reality, and itโs not acceptable. I'll stand up for what matters in your daily life and safeguard your financial wellbeing. #turntexasblue #texasdemocrats #houstondemocrats
Public education has been the catalyst for my career and my professional success, and I am committed to doing everything I can to keep public education accessible and affordable to future generations.

Pride Month is a time to celebrate the diverse stories, resilience, and contributions of our LGBTQ+ neighbors. We are reminded of how important it is to show up, listen, and stand together. I am here to build a community where no one is left behind or forced into the shadows. I will always be a voice for unity, fairness, and mutual respect.

Without a free press, we have no democracy.
The story surrounding Scott Pelley this week is bigger than any one journalist. It's another example of a troubling pattern: growing pressure on news organizations and journalists to fall in line with the Trump administration rather than hold it accountable.
The First Amendment exists for moments like these. A free and independent press is one of the strongest safeguards against corruption and abuse of power. Journalists should be free to pursue the truth, ask hard questions, and challenge those in power without political interference.
As your Congressman, I will defend the First Amendment and stand against efforts to undermine a free and independent press.
Spent a great afternoon speaking with members of the Del Webb community in The Woodlands! In a room filled with Democrats, Republicans, and Independents, we had thoughtful conversations about the issues that matter most to our neighbors and our future.
A want to give a special thank you to Bill Astin, whom I met at another event. After a conversation about this campaign and our vision for the district, he stepped up to host this gathering. Support like Bill's is what helps our movement continue to grow.
Thank you to everyone who came out! Together, we're building a campaign that brings people together from both parties and puts service and bipartisanship above politics.
Government corruption is unacceptable. Jim shared his frustration with how his tax dollars are being handled, and he is right to be upset. When elected, I will ensure strong checks and balances are put in place to bring transparency back to our government. Watch until the end to hear our full conversation from the road.
I am honored to receive the endorsement of @teamster988 . Having the backing of thousands of hardworking transportation, logistics, and warehouse workers across the Houston area means the world to this campaign. I am dedicated to fighting for the economic security and workplace safety our families deserve. I will ensure the voices of our local workforce are always heard.
I am proud of the hard work our volunteer team is putting in on the ground. Our block walking has been great, and the direct feedback from our community is exactly what drives this campaign. I am committed to reaching every corner of this district. We need your help to keep hitting our goals, so I hope you will join us for our next walk.

Raising Asian-American children with my wife, Selme, makes AAPI Heritage Month extra special. I am focused on listening to our AAPI neighbors and small business owners because I want to ensure we build a community where our kids grow up safe and proud. This month, I encourage everyone to support a local AAPI business or attend a cultural event to celebrate the people who make our neighborhoods thrive. #AAPI #AsianAmericanHeriatgeMonth #TexasDemocrats #TurnTexasBlue

I just voted in the primary runoff election. Real change doesnโt happen by accident, it happens when we show up and make our voices heard. I am committed to doing the work every day to ensure our district gets the representation it deserves, but it starts at the ballot box. Make your plan to vote today. Education is a top priority for my campaign. I support the passage of HR 8618, the College Affordability and Accessibility Act, drafted by my friend, @RepCDMenefee
of TX-18. Higher education must remain accessible for families nationwide. As listed in the proposal, to address rising tuition, we should increase Pell Grant awards and expand eligibility. This will help educate more students ensuring that all can pursue their goals, regardless of their financial backgrounds.
