@brennacgray @tressiemcphd I've been loving this thread. Feels like a thread to hold on to in the stream of "here's the latest thing". Thanks for the curation!
One of the most rewarding parts of my job is the collaborative work I do with my colleagues and students so I thought I'd write about it: https://t.co/FVl4xNFcWA
@actualham My friend keeps the coffee carafe in his room so he has to get out of bed at a certain time lest the coffee machine gets coffee all over his kitchen. I find making myself drink a glass of water seems to wake me up (and is just generally beneficial).
I finished paying off my student loans during the COVID pause because I could get ahead. These payments are eligible for the debt relief and filling out the form took less than 5 minutes. I wish everything was this easy https://t.co/LwE1nhJknK
@ryanbrazell I unintentionally quit watching tv awhile back and now I can't even consume shows/media that are "intense". I think limiting my consumption of things that provoke a strong emotional response has helped my anxiety, but also means I'm sensitive to it when I do see it.
@ryanbrazell Yes, this is one fad I absolutely do not get and feel weird about. I don't want to be okay with the worst day of someone's life being my entertainment. There is so much more stuff to be entertained by.
@TaylorJadin So weird you tweet this right now as I've literally just spent the last hour or so trying to decide what static site generator I should try. I've never attempted any of this so this has perhaps swayed me towards Hugo :-)
Zotero has this REALLY COOL FEATURE that lets you make groups and do "collaborative annotations."
But most folks don't know about it.

@twoodwar I have no answers except that I've been wrestling with this too a bit (except a bit from the perspective about expectations of how we provide support). Although perhaps support of platform and its use is part of the equation.
I had a conversation with a professor who had become a mentor. I was very unsure of what to do (too many interests) and when we landed on history as something I might reasonably like I went with it. When I was 18 I was really looking for someone to tell me what I should do.
