@danohuang@Delta@WestJet And get an Air Tag! They do work. Also - you get better claim service if you’re a member of the airline’s rewards program. And always ask the claim agent to repeat back info they’ve added to your file (including their spelling of specific items). They make a ton of errors.
After 5 days, we have our luggage back. Our son has his treasured stuffies and I’ve learned a ton about the dos and don’ts associated with checked baggage. Thanks, @Delta & @WestJet, for getting our things home.
@danohuang@Delta@WestJet So many! Take a picture of your bag & its contents before you fly. Remember your bag’s brand name (I didn’t). Put your name and phone number on the bag (but not your address). And call everyone - airlines, airports, customs people, etc. Don’t leave the search to the airlines.
If my missing luggage is ever found, it will be thanks to Sonja on the @WestJet baggage services line. She spent 40 minutes on the phone with me and found crucial details in my file that had been missed by the 3 @Delta agents I’d spoken with previously. Grateful for the help.
This too. So done with both airlines. What an absolute gong show. I’ve had to call twice today alone - first to get anyone to even look for the bag, and now to correct their inability to document my claim correctly.
So frustrated with @Delta tonight. Every time I check in about my bag claim, I uncover another issue. Now they’ve documented the type of bag incorrectly. Tired of constantly needing to reach out to customer service to correct the claim. Not getting my bag back at this rate.
