@calculizer I grew up in El Paso. We had a great small scene in the 90s but that was thanks to the efforts of At The Drive In and folks in that circle. It’s definitely the lack of quality reliable venues and committed promoters. The good promoters do everything and burn out hard.

@10ch @doctorow @Microsoft Option paralysis? Overchoice? Bad design? Undesign? Ha ha. Now you’re making me want to vote for ‘legacy cruft’ since I think that’s at the heart of word’s problem. At one point they did redesign but in order to keep traditional users happy they said ‘why not both?’

@joshua_r_eyler Yeah. Agree with this. I noticed it last year when more instructors claimed they were practicing inclusive teaching but clearly didn’t mean that in a holistic sense. I think most want to be ‘inclusive’ but not everyone wants to be intentional
