Breaking: The NCAA D1 Cabinet met and further discussed the hockey model today.
Sources say the NCAA will adopt hockey’s proposed model, where the eligibility clock begins the season following an athlete’s 19th birthday or college enrollment, removing HS graduation.
Saw this on Linked In…powerful….
We will never forget.
"Dear 77,301,997 Americans who voted for Trump,
Being Canadian has never been about shouting the loudest. We don’t pound our chests or demand attention. We are sometimes like the quiet kid on the playground, just wanting to get along with others. We hold doors, say sorry even when it’s not our fault, and shovel our neighbour’s driveway just because it’s the right thing to do. We believe in fairness, decency, and looking out for one another.
We are the world’s greatest neighbour… and yes, our spelling is the correct one. We show up. In the words of our Prime Minister on Saturday night, “from the beaches of Normandy to the mountains of the Korean Peninsula, from the fields of Flanders to the streets of Kandahar, we have fought and died alongside you during your darkest hours. During the summer of 2005, when Hurricane Katrina ravaged your great city of New Orleans, or mere weeks ago, when we sent water bombers to tackle the wildfires in California, and during the day the world stood still — Sept. 11, 2001 — when we provided refuge to stranded passengers and planes, we were always there, standing with you”.
And yet, here we are – watching your president, a man who built his legacy on bullying, turn his sights on us. He mocks us, belittles us, and treats us like some inconvenience rather than the ally who has stood by you through thick and thin.
It’s easy to mistake our politeness for passivity, or our kindness for weakness. But here’s the thing about the quiet kid on the playground: push that kid far enough, and that kid pushes back.
Canada has never needed to boast about its strength. We just prove it. On battlefields. In boardrooms. On the ice. So, if you think you can push us around and take us for granted – think again. You think we will become your “cherished 51st state” – think again. Underestimate us… that will be fun. Because the quiet kid? The quiet kid remembers. And when the quiet kid finally stands up, the whole playground takes notice.
Now we are pissed.
Sincerely,
Canada"
If you did more then scratch your ass you would know Canada provides numerous raw materials shipped to US for production including the largest amount of nickel required for military hardware. It was a win win for both countries. That’s why we had agreements. Recession time.
Ontario is the largest purchaser of alcohol in the world. Yah, no purchase of US alcohols will hurt. Ask the state of Kentucky how they feel about this? Oh and we sell alcohol on consignment. No purchase no payment. They can sit in a warehouse forever.
@GuntherEagleman I think it’s funny when they make these videos as if it matters to America, oh no America is gonna lose a few thousand dollars, Canada is going to lose billions of dollars because they’re acting like a bunch of butt hurt babies.
Over on Facebook, Ben Shapiro is asking the question we all want more prominent American conservatives asking openly.
Why Canada?
We have allies in the American conservative movement. We need them to speak up.
Thank you @benshapiro
Canada can avoid the tariffs by becoming the 51st State.
Don't get mad at me, that's Trump's proposal.
I don't think Canada can win a trade war against the US.
I also think we should become 4 or 5 States based on population, geography, economics, culture, language, etc. 🤷♂️
Nothing to cry about. Countries will be allies but they now know it’s not worth the paper it’s written on. Great that you can brag to be #1 but no one will trust America. I sincerely hope America never needs an ally for anything.
@shawnzilla66 They literally will still be allies with us lol, you gotta be allies with the number 1 superpower and 1 economy in the world. Not to mention they want all our business. They just can’t screw us over anymore lol but hey keep crying 🤣🤣
Honestly not upset. Sane heads prevailed. We all win with negotiations and good trade. Unfortunately that negotiation strategy demonstrated his integrity. Careful when others in the world pat your back. Check their hands. It’s a big world and some have long memories

@chris_ca31@EndWokeness You think Trump won? You think this is over? While he was flexing his muscle and talking circles the world was watching. I hope to god there is never a crisis in America but if it happens, be careful, there are long memories for some.
just for dialogue, we have a huge amt. of areas called “crown land” basically so much that can obtain forest products indefinitely. The areas for forestry in the US is private owned and there is a cost per acre to cut. Supply/demand/close to mills etc make it cheaper to import
@ScampKTW@BudLightSadness Southern Yellow Pine is widely available in the Southeast states, but it is denser and more resinous, making it less desirable for some construction applications compared to Canadian Spruce-Pine-Fir (SPF), which is lighter, straighter, and easier to work with.
Two different whiskeys. Pay attention. I will make an effort to stop my American friends from ordering a Crown and coke because Jon said Kentucky makes better whiskey OR as adults we can enjoy what we want. It’s not a competition.
