Cya @Sling, 30 days too early to be donning your clown costume, removing ESPN on a CFB SATURDAY. I think @YouTubeTV will take care of their thousands of new customers
@SchlangDaddy@TrueCelebrate@RexChapman Hate to be the physics guy but that’s technically incorrect. Force is mass x acceleration. 20mph is a velocity. Acceleration is the the derivative of velocity and can be derived from 20mph if you knew the time it took to reach that speed. a=20mph/t is what you want to plug in
@FoodLion out of mint on #DerbyDay. Who could have seen needing extra shipments of mint for the Kentucky Derby. Masterclass tag teaming with @TVG to ruin the day. #tarragonsubstitute
@FBInjuryDoc@saklodge Thanks for the citation! The study indicates much higher force required (~ 1 ton) to impart 1% change. It doesn’t say how force is applied but in lab setting it’s most likely applied in pure tension while flexure would dominate real world application. Either way, it takes a lot!
@DrJesseMorse Possible MCL mechanism when he goes to collect his dribble? Not a medical professional. Structural engineer with special interest in sports injury…the musculoskeletal system is the structure of the body!
@saklodge@FBInjuryDoc 9% elongation from a 200 lb force is a lot. The IT band might be about 24” long in a 5’6” human, meaning 9% elongation equals about 26” after elongation, an increase of 2”…that’s a lot for a small force of 200#. Maybe it’s not that strong after all
So the Eagles are in the playoffs, and Josh McCown is throwing to Greg Ward, Deontay Burnett, and Robert Davis, handing off to Boston Scott, while being protected by Halapoulivaati Vaitai and Matt Pryor. 👍
Amazing stat & the context is crazy:
Carson Wentz is the first QB to throw for 4,000 yards without a single WR hitting 500 yards.
Along the way this season, Wentz lost his WR1, WR2, WR3, TE1, RB1 & RB2.
Finished the season w a CFB QB as his WR1 & a 5'6" 6th rd RB as RB1.
