By a vote of 524-28, 95% of our members have just authorized a strike. As we head into the final weeks of this Election season, and on this important Debate day, we want the @nytimes to hear us: We are ready to do whatever it takes to get to a fair deal.
We are celebrating Labor Day by announcing that a supermajority of our over-600 person union signed a pledge of support for a strike. We have scheduled a strike authorization vote 🗳️ 🪧

@engineering_bae I'm at 4.5 years and while I do love the mission of my company, I could be making more elsewhere. What really has kept me is the support of my co-workers. We started a union last year and it's awesome being in a place where workers have each other's backs
After nearly 800 days without a contract, ~1,000 @NYTimesGuild members voted more than 99 percent in favor to ratify a new 5-year deal that includes an immediate $65,000 salary floor, raises for every member, hybrid work options, a ban on NDAs and new investments in local news.
