@welkjoerger @jessfscarbone Extension is huge, and 4-H included in that. And if you’re talking not just about cooking but eating more generally, I would argue that farm families learned to think about human nutrition in ways that mirrored how they were learning to think about animal nutrition.

Also I am very, very proud of my window-glazing skills, which were acquired during my youth in the house I grew up in. They have come in handy on many occasions.

Whenever one of those window people knocks on my door I tell them we already have perfectly good windows that can actually be maintained in good working order for another hundred years. They don’t stay long.
