Load shedding, inflation, poverty, unemployment, broken roads, a collapsing health and education system, injustice, weak passport, instability, and corruption, this is all PML-N has given Pakistan after more than 30 years in power.

A matric fail can easily double/triple the tax revenue by increasing the taxes on people already in tax net. Using indiscriminate indirect taxes on commodities to increase the revenue is Zulm not an achievement. The ways they've used to meet targets exposed their incompetence.
Last year the total agriculture income tax collected was less than Rs.10 billion and the tax collected on salaries was Rs. 606 billion...more than 50 times greater than agriculture income tax collection!!!
At present, traders, retailers, restaurants, jewellers, landlords, agri-owners pay no taxes despite earning millions of rupees on daily basis.
What happens as a result, those who pay taxes are forced to pay even more in the form of Income Tax (on what they earn by doing full day hardwork and daily grind), General Sales Tax on (what they purchase), Petroleum Levy on (how they travel or commute) and many more.
This unequal or disproportionate tax burden shrinks disposable income of the households. As a result of this, economic activity slows down, people stop buying unless it is necessary, eating out or dine in reduces, retailers sales also slow down, commercial footfall drops significantly and then everyone in the cycle eventually suffers.
Now, if we assume that these taxes are imposed proportionately and every one shares equal burden what will happen?
In that case, disposable income will increase, people will buy more (retailer sales will increase), they will eat more (restaurants will benefit, agriculture economy will benefit, they will travel more (overall economy will get boost), savings rate will increase which will improve social connections and overall quality of life of people will improve.
This is how taxing right people creates a virtuous cycle that benefits all!
@hiz657 True. Remote workers deal with a lot of risk. Most contractors I know have no paid leave, no medical insurance, and are constantly competing with talent from around the world while always worrying about layoffs.
LOL. Remote workers will just start opening bank accounts outside Pakistan and stop bringing money into local banks altogether. People can easily survive here using virtual cards without transferring funds locally. Clown behavior honestly.
A tax gap in Pakistan's IT sector is giving some remote workers up to 44% higher take-home pay than employees at local software firms, according to P@SHA. The group wants this changed in Budget 2026-27 🧵
Nobody tells you this: Dopamine from information gathering is a dangerous drug. It's the dopamine from reading, planning, or learning, but never doing. Stop looking for more information and start acting on the information you already have. Get your dopamine from action.
