🇺🇸 Infantino Surrenders His Own FIFA World Cup to Trump's "Aggressive World"
Asked by the BBC if he had lost control, FIFA's president didn't deny it. He told the world to "chill" and "trust us," then admitted: "Sometimes we manage, other times not." Here's what he's managing:
🇮🇷 Iran: granted visas, forced to leave the U.S. immediately after their game
🇸🇴 Omar Artan, Africa's best referee: denied entry
🇺🇿 Uzbekistan: drug-sniffing dogs, metal detector checks, full body searches
🇸🇳 Senegal: pulled off the plane, treated as "criminals," degraded on the tarmac
🇮🇶 Talal Salah, Iraq team photographer: held 10 hours, then denied entry
🇮🇶 Ayman Hussein, Iraqi footballer: held and questioned 7 hours at O'Hare
He handed Trump a peace prize while Trump handcuffs his tournament. This isn't FIFA's World Cup anymore.
Russian invader says that their commanders remove the tags from the corpses of dead orcs and take their documents so that the body cannot be identified - thus, their families will get no money.
Well, the only negative thing in this entire situation is that this "truth-teller" can still speak...
Donald Trump has effectively killed NATO, at least for now. He didn't have to tear up a treaty or fire a shot.
Here's the proof:
A new poll shows the number of Europeans who see America as an "ally" has plummeted 50% since Trump came back into office.
NINE out of TEN of our closest friends no longer see us as a friend at all.
Put another way, the world's most consequential alliance has been effectively cut in half in 18 months.
Some folks might say this is a "mood" that will pass, but they're wrong.
Alliances aren't built on paper. They're built on one belief, i.e. that when the worst comes, your friends will come for you.
That same survey found majorities in every European country now doubt America would defend them if attacked. If you don't know anything about international relations, let me tell you: this is basically the heart of the NATO alliance. It's now got a stake in it.
Article 5 is the promise our allies invoked to run to our side after 9/11. They officially no longer believe we'd return the favor.
Trump may not grasp what that means. But trust me, Vladimir Putin does. Xi Jinping does. Russia and China see how weak Trump has made America and the West.
Donald Trump is headed to France next week for a G7 summit... and I hope our allies read him the riot act. If they don't, they should be prepared to write NATO's eulogy.

MAJOR BREAKING: US Energy Secretary Chris Wright says he has no idea what Trump is talking about when he just claimed that he’s taking oil out of Iran.
For the record, the energy secretary should know everything there is to know about the supply and demand in global oil markets.
Trump is either lying, insane, or not communicating with his cabinet.
What would the collapse of Russia look like?
Russia’s defeat in the war against Ukraine could lead not only to a military setback but also to the disintegration of the state. This is most often linked to a weakening of Putin’s power.
In such a scenario, Ukraine would regain all territories annexed by Russia since 2014: Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk regions, as well as Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions, partially occupied after 2022.
A domino effect could follow, along with external territorial claims against a weakened Russia.
Japan could theoretically revisit the issue of the Kuril Islands, which it calls the “Northern Territories.” China could also raise old territorial disputes in the Far East.
In academic and analytical circles, different scenarios of Russia’s collapse are described — up to the emergence of around 20 new states.
The potential lines of fragmentation are ethnic, regional, and post-colonial.
This includes growing demands for autonomy in republics such as Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, Dagestan, Chechnya, and Yakutia, as well as discontent in resource-rich regions of Siberia and the Far East over revenue distribution in favor of the center.
There is a risk of instability and armed conflict in the event of a sudden collapse. A key factor is Russia’s nuclear arsenal, which remains the largest in the world.
An uncontrolled scenario could lead to a humanitarian catastrophe and large-scale chaos comparable to the collapse of other empires.
MacFarlane: What did you make of the president saying he loves inflation?
Welch: It’s pretty bizarre. He does not get what’s happening with everyday people. This is happening because of the war. He made a unilateral decision to go to war. He said yes to Netanyahu, and he said no to his own advisers.
He’s flailing, and there are no negotiations. It’s really about the president trying to get a face-saving outcome so he can make the assertion that we’re better off, but we’re nowhere.

🚨JUST IN: Rooney says I FIFA withdrawing Iran World Cup ticket allocation for their supporters for all the 3 matches and denying Omar Abdulkadir Artan a chance to ref in the World Cup because of USA have shifted the narrative from football to politics which is unacceptable
> "What frustrates me is that the World Cup is supposed to be about football, but days before kickoff we're talking more about politics than the actual tournament."
> "The story should be about the best players in the world arriving, the biggest nations competing, and fans travelling across the globe to support their countries."
> "Instead, one of the biggest headlines has been the situation involving Omar Abdulkadir Artan. Here's a referee selected by FIFA to officiate at the World Cup, yet he won't be there after being denied entry into the United States."
> "Put yourself in his shoes. You spend years working for that opportunity, you become one of Africa's most respected referees, and then your World Cup dream ends before a ball is kicked."
> "Then you have Iran's federation claiming that its allocation of tickets for supporters across all three group-stage matches has been withdrawn. Whether you're Iranian or not, that's a terrible look for a World Cup."
> "Football supporters save money for years to follow their national teams. Some book flights, hotels and time off work. They deserve clarity and fairness."
> "The problem is that these stories have shifted the entire narrative. People are debating visas, travel restrictions and diplomatic disputes instead of discussing formations, tactics and who might win the trophy."
> "Every host nation has laws and security procedures, I understand that. But when those issues become bigger than the football itself, something has clearly gone wrong."
> "The World Cup has always been special because it brings together countries that don't agree on everything but can still share the same pitch and the same tournament."
> "Right now, FIFA needs the football to take centre stage again. The World Cup should be remembered for great matches and unforgettable moments, not for controversies that made politics the biggest story before the tournament even began."
Residents of Moscow and Yekaterinburg were asked whether they intend to vote for the ruling "United Russia" party in the upcoming elections to the State Duma.
Here are some of their responses:
"I wouldn't vote for United Russia... United Russia only raises prices in stores. And it participates in the war against Ukraine, which nobody wants."
"We were coerced into voting. Everything is rigged. The winner is always the same anyway."
"We are ripped off at every turn. There's nothing but scammers sitting there."
"No. I don't think it even needs a comment."

trump is fixated on:
- his face on passports
- his face on money
- his ballroom
- his arch
- his stocks
- stealing Iran's oil
- tax breaks for billionaires
But he can't be bothered with affordable food, housing, or healthcare. He LOVES inflation.
We #CantAffordTrump.
The impact will be harsh: Ukraine will be producing missiles of all ranges, anti-missile, drones...—more efficiently and at lower cost—dethroning the U.S. defense industry.
A direct/fair consequence of the U.S. abandoning Kyiv since Trump took office (and a curtailed aid before).
Absolutely no independent data supports 100 million barrels or 200 ships are moving freely. The strait is NOT opened and is NOT under US control.
This is only occurring in Trump’s cognitively impaired brain.
From @TheAthleticFC: FIFA's president, Gianni Infantino, has stood back while journalists and even a referee have been denied entry to the U.S. The situation is a mess, our columnist writes. https://t.co/T39IluqZYa
